【杰森】：No, I meant to make up for the wet patch^[9] on your bed.

【杰森】：What have I done?

【獄霸馬塞爾】：Not you, Stumphead!

【獄霸馬塞爾】：I keep thinking about the ending of the book. It doesn't make sense^[15].

【盧克】：Really? In what way?

【獄霸馬塞爾】：We never found out what happened to Bella's baby.

【盧克】：Oh, well, the baby...

【獄霸馬塞爾】：Or Bella. Or Edward. Or Jacob.

【盧克】：Brilliant, wasn't it? The way it was left deliciously^[16] open... for the reader to draw his or her own conclusions^[17].

（注：獄霸馬塞爾說完，便和黑頭達茲走出了房間。杰森用雙手模仿機槍的樣子，向他們背后做掃射態，并發出尖叫。盧克看到自己在獄中的種種遭遇，一切都是因杰森的惡作劇所致，便氣上心頭）
