盧克讀到此處，獄霸馬塞爾示意黑頭用手中的廁所毛刷重力拍打盧克的腦袋，因為他知道，盧克沒有進入角色閱讀，只是采用一種語音語調(diào)。
【盧克】：Sorry, sorry. IN A DEEP VOICE: " 'Nahuel, you must be centuries old[5]. ' " Nahuel replied... IN A HIGH-PITCHED[6] VOCIE: " 'Ooh, 170 to the nearest decade. ' "
盧克又遭到來自廁所毛刷的一記重擊，原因是他讀得有些過快。
【獄霸馬塞爾】：What's the big hurry[7]? Is there somewhere else you'd rather[8] be?
【盧克】：Not at all. How could my life possibly get...?
盧克還沒說完，就被黑頭用廁所毛刷堵住了嘴，阻止他在朗讀過程中亂講話。

【獄霸馬塞爾】：Shall we continue?
【盧克】：" The forest went deadly silent..." Ripping[10] " 'Behind you! ' screamed Aro. " And there was a slight ripping sound and everyone's OK. The end.
獄霸馬塞爾躺在床上，聽著盧克給他朗讀小說，而盧克趁其昏昏欲睡和黑頭背對之機，快速扯下部分書頁，并藏在了上衣之內(nèi)。
【獄霸馬塞爾】：Really?
【盧克】：I know, what a cliffhanger[11]! Right, I'm really missing our evenings together, boys.
【獄霸馬塞爾】：Me too. You're much better at this than Daz was.
【黑頭達茲】：Oi ! That's not f-f-f-f...
【盧克】：Let me get out of your hair. I've got plenty I need to be doing.
盧克正在離開獄霸馬塞爾的牢房，不料突然被黑頭達茲用廁所毛刷撂倒。
