盡管此前英國《金融時報》有篇文章表示，海歸人士的待遇可能不比在國內深造的同齡人來得高，但時至今日，出國的潮流依舊不減。有人說，出國不一定是為了鍍金，主要出于拓展視野、擴大交際網絡所需，不管為何，只要涉及出國，就需要翻譯出國材料，包括各種證件。
之前我在某公證處駐扎翻譯2年有余，積累了些相關知識??？紤]到近段時間頻頻有網友私信我此類出國材料的翻譯，因此從今天起，我會不定期整理一些常用證件的翻譯句式甚至模板，幫助廣大需求者。
此處略做說明，該等句式或者模板大多結合外文證件上的書面表達，并參考國內權威機構的處理方法得到。
今天，我們先從《高等院校畢業證書》開始。
一. 先來回顧國內的 ?《高等院校畢業證書》，正文如下：
學生XXX，性別女，1985年7月7日生，于二OO七年十月至二O一O年9月在本校護理學（網絡教育 專升本）專業三年制本科學習，修完教學計劃規定的全部課程，成績合格，準予畢業。
?二. 從網絡上找出靠譜的外文畢業證書學習句式，正文如下：
?This is to certify that
XXX
has satisfactorily completed the four-year Agriculture curriculum in this school and having met the requirements for graduation with the necessary number of credits as indicated on the accompanying certificate is entitled to this
diploma
Given at Woodstown New Jersey This Thirteenth Day of June 1935
盡管這份英文畢業證書為高中畢業證書，而且年份久遠，但翻譯過來的內容與國內的《高等院校畢業證書》差不多，因此具有很高的參考價值。下面，我們一起來看看這份文件的正文到底體現了哪些信息：
--》學生保羅·高恩特 · 布魯克斯（Paul Gaunt Brooks）于本校四年制農學專業學習，修完教學計劃的全部課程，成績合格（具體學分詳見附件），準予畢業。
--》畢業證書頒發時間：1935年6月13日 ? ? 畢業證書頒發地點：新澤西伍茲頓
三. 接下來仿照該材料翻譯圖1正文。

注：
1. 由于畢業證書旨在證明學生修完課程而被準予畢業，因此，盡管原證書中沒有“茲證明”等字眼，譯文開篇仍需要增譯“This is to certify （that）”。
2. 外國畢業證書的正文格式一般設為居中，且每個單詞的每個字母都大寫，此處不好排版，所以居左設置了，為便于閱讀，也沒有將每個字母大寫。
3. 大專學位：associate degree。
4. 本科學位：bachelor's degree。
四. 其他細枝末葉的翻譯。
此部分翻譯略。但需要強調的一點是，證件加蓋鋼印的位置，下方需要說明鋼印的內容，一般格式為：[embossed seal: XXXX]；至于紅章，需要截取原圖，適當調整大小后粘貼于譯文中，然后加注紅章內容，一般格式為：[seal:XXXX]。
五. 接下來，我們一起看看國內其它翻譯模板，把圖1的內容套進去，對比一下。
This is to certify that studentXXX, female,born on July 7, 1985, has studied in this university with a speciality of Nursing (distance education for students upgrading from associate degree to bachelor's degree)? from October 2007 to September 2010. Upon completing and passing all the required courses of the 3-year undergraduate program , she is granted graduation.
?這是從某大學的網站上下載下來的，需要留意以下幾點：
1. “from? September 1995 to June 1999”是過去時間，應使用過去時態，因此，“has studied” 應改為 “studied”；
2. “speciality of”后跟具體專業名稱，因此，“a speciality of ”應改為“the speciality of”；
3. “完成課程”、“通過考試”，邏輯應該如此，因此，“passing all the required courses”應改為 “passing the examinations of all the required courses”；
4. 畢業證書的終極目的應該在于證明“學生修完課程，成績合格，準予畢業”，可是該譯文卻將這部分內容另起一句，放在“this is to certify”句子之外，顯然不符合該文件的目的。
綜上，可以將該譯文修改如下：
This is to certify that
student XXX, female, born on July 7, 1985
studying in?this university with the speciality of Nursing?(distance education for students upgrading from associate degree to bachelor's degree)??from?October 2007 to September 2010
