f）在學校允許的情況下，加些草稿或未完成的作品。
一些藝術學院，特別是美國院校，會要求申請者的作品集中的每一個小作品都是完整的。而其他學院，尤其是英國，新西蘭等國家的藝術學院則更喜歡一些手稿，靈感碎片之類的項目。所以在這里，小More建議大家，如果沒有特別說明，加入這些未完成的作品或是手稿會是一個很好的機會讓作品審核老師了解你的思路，以及展示你技巧，知識深度和作品層面交流。作品前期的思考和制作過程和作品本身一樣重要，它會有助于旁人理解你的作品之間的聯系以及看到這些作品是如何從萌芽到發展再到成品的。作品的過程和發展會幫助外海院校了解你的想法（比如你某個作品背后的思想和意義），以及你是否具有將某種概念轉化為實物的能力。同時也證明了你有能力分析，試驗，探索以及嘗試批判性創作。
We want to see how you generate and develop ideas from your visual research. It is important that we see how they progress from the starting point right through to the conclusion of your ideas / project.——SCAD薩凡納

草稿本需要展示出：

g) 技巧與原創！
請記牢：藝術技巧必須富有創造力，蘊含獨到的見解，以及某種形式上的視覺好奇心。換句話就是說，如果你不能有趣的，獨特的將技巧學以致用，那么任何技巧都是無用的。對于藝術從業者來說，如果一個人可以產生一種原始的，富有吸引力的想法，并將其表達出來（可以以任何方式），那么他的這件作品一定要比那些技巧純熟卻創意平平的作品更有價值。盡管技巧是真真實實需要具備的，但技巧的存在并不是為了讓你成為一個復印機，而是為了讓你創造出出人意料的，令人興奮的作品。那么為了讓你的作品集也做到這點，這些可能會幫助到你：
●當一個實驗者，多嘗試，技巧，材料，想法，隨心所欲去創造。不怕不敢做，只怕不敢想。

It’s no good promoting house styles, as that makes all students’ work look the same. If a student is showing a piece of work from a course, it’s important that it also shows a personal them——University of Sheffield

h) 樂于交流，充滿激情
每所學院招學生不僅僅希望學生能代表本學院，更希望學生可以繼續在自己的專業方向走下去并有所建樹。所以他們需要有夢想，有激情的學生來應付繁重的課業。這就意味著你在制作作品集的時候還需要傳達出來一種激情，熱情和執著（面試也一樣！）。以下幾點建議可能會幫助到你：

During the process of reviewing portfolios, the staff always look for work that goes beyond the mere fulfilment of School curricula. We search for highly motivated activity, over and above any project-based work, and for a breadth of engagement, a sense of purpose and a strength of opinion in the way the portfolio is edited. Important for us is to be able to discovering a sense of the temperament laying behind the work, and sense the deeper interests that inform the portfolio. We are not interested in finding a particular formula or a specific style, but in signs of energy, ambition, critical reflection and creativity——University of Southampton
Personal art is the work done outside of a classroom situation and reflects the artists’ unique interests in use of materials, subject matter and concept.
