One picture to summarise my second day in Phuket.
Basically today woke up around 10am and we didn’t plan for any trip. After we went down to reception, the manager, Tu introduce some of the package to us including sightseeing and island hopping. After that we went for breakfast, treated Ameerul a Starbucks in Phuket as promised, and had a muesli breakfast (I miss it a lot)
After breakfast we go back and confirm with Tu about the trip. (island hopping and city tour) Around 1.45pm the mini van coming and we met Steve, Amen and Khadtijah. We had a leisure talk while going to fetch another bunch of tourist from Canada, it’s a family.
This city for package include Big Buddha, Chalong Temple, Promthep View Point, Karen view point, honey Farm, Jewellery shop, mini orchid and cashew nut factory. The visit to the honey, nut, and orchid is besically a scam where they just bring us to the souvenirs shop, expecting us to buy And spent more bhat there.
Steve is a English teacher of international school in Pattaya, he is having a short holiday over here in Phuket. He will be going back on tomorrow and we did had a good day with him. He is teaching in international school in Pattaya and acc to him, Pattaya is a place with more prostitution and more happening. He know a bit Thai language and he knows about Buddhism!!!! I feel so guilty when I listen to him explaining the core of Buddhism to Amen and Khad when i don’t know how to explain it. He is basically amazing. Tonight we did hang out at Bangla Road and he teach us how to ignore the PP show and handle the girls waiter when drinking. It makes me think a lot actually, because it’s something that I am new to, and finally I am clear on the girls intention of wanted to play games with you and talk to you.
They want to encourage you to buy more and spend more.
And we met Amen and Khad, an Algerian couple who just married and currently having their honey moon holiday in Phuket. They had been to Maldive for one week, then KL and now Phi Phi. They’re Muslim and they asked me some question about the core of Buddhism, and I can’t really answer it, too bad. Having three pray in the small space under Big Buddha, I get peace and it remind me back on 佛教會
After the whole afternoon city tour, we had our dinner at the gawker centre nearby our place and take a stroll around Bangla Road.
It’s fucking happening!
Besically it’s just a road with a lot of hawker Center, and a lot of people promoting Ping Pong show, Strip show etc. And we finally meet Steve in a small bar, entertaining some waiter and having a lot of conversation there.
And Steve said,
