寫在前面的話
《看老友記學英語》已經更新到第七期啦！應廣大簡友的要求也已經建立了微信群（入群方法見文末）。在以后的分享里，你不僅會看到每一集老友記的完整譯文和解析，還有我經過長時間摸索總結的學習經驗，一并分享給大家。
今天就和大家分享一下我是如何把英語學習融入到日常生活中去的。
第一 尋找可以重復利用的時間
關注我的朋友應該都知道我每天都會變著花樣做早餐，很多朋友會問，你做的早餐好精致啊，你哪來的那么多時間啊？其實做早餐花的時間確實挺多的，每天早上大約需要一個小時左右。對于很多惜時如金的朋友來說，用一個小時的時間做早餐是無法忍受的。 其實我也是。
所以我會想辦法重復利用這段時間，手和眼睛都占上了，但是耳朵是閑著的，所以我會選擇在這個時間段聽東西。
聽什么呢，如果你想聽音樂來陶冶情操，完全沒有問題，可以選擇自己喜歡的音樂。我一般會利用這段時間來聽英語。
在這個時間段我建議大家以復習鞏固為目的聽英語聽力，也就是選材上要選以前學習過的，或者比較簡單的，用來鞏固記憶力。因為你需要做別的事情，會分散注意力，所以不適合做我在上一期中介紹的“盲聽”這個步驟。因為盲聽是開新的過程，需要高度和專一的注意力，而一時多用的過程更適合“溫故”。對于聽力資料大家可以加我的微信群我會定期分享。
第二 在日常生活中保持敏感度，時刻準備學以致用
看過我以前分享的朋友應該知道我會在譯文中加很多短語，用法和單詞的解析，這些詞語學完之后如果只是放在腦子里不用就會變成“死知識”，就像是一個沒有激活的道具。所以你要時不時地不激活它們，才能夠為你所用。那么怎么激活呢，這就需要你在生活中保持敏感度，隨時發現可以用到新學的詞語的地方。
舉個例子，我們上班的時候中午吃飯經常會網上訂餐，在辦公桌上吃面什么的帶湯水的東西經常會滴到身上，有個同事說要有個圍裙就好了。我馬上想到了老友記中有一個橋段是Chandler 和Joey到一家餐廳吃飯，遇到了Phoebe的孿生姐妹，Ursula。他們兩個以為是Phoebe就問她為什么在這里，她說“because the apron is cute”。于是我就問同事你知道英語圍裙怎么說嗎，然后就復習了這個單詞。
好了，讓我們繼續老友記吧。
Paul:Ever since she walked out on me, I, uh...
譯文：自從她離開我以后，我...
解析和應用：walk out on somebody甩掉某人，離開某人。
Monica:What?.....What, you wanna spell it out with noodles?
譯文：什么，你想用面條來說嗎
Paul:No, it's,it's more of a fifth date kinda revelation.
譯文：不，這就像是第五次約會要聊的東西
Monica:Oh, so there is gonna be a fifth date?
Paul: Isn't there?
Monica:Yeah...yeah, I think there is. -What were you gonna say?
譯文：有第五次約會？
不需要嗎？
需要，我想需要的。你剛才想說什么？
Paul:Well,ever-ev-... ever since she left me, um, I haven't been able to, uh, perform.(Monica takes a sip of her drink.) ...Sexually.

Monica:(spitting out her drink in shock) Oh God, oh God, I am sorry... I am so sorry...
Paul:It's okay...
Monica:I know being spit on is probably not what you need right now. Um... how long?

解析和應用：不小心吐口水到對方身上的表達方法，就可以說，Being spit on is probably not what you need right now.
Paul:Two years.
Monica:Wow! I'm-I'm-I'm glad you smashed her watch!
譯文：兩年了。哇！真高興你砸爛了她的表！
解析和應用：smash的用法，打碎打破。如The boy smashed the window.
Paul:So you still think you, um... might want that fifth date?
Monica:(pause)...Yeah. Yeah, I do.
譯文：你還想要第五次約會？
……當然想。
[Scene:Monica's Apartment, Rachel is watching Joanne Loves Chaci.]
Priest on TV:We are gathered here today to join Joanne Louise Cunningham and Charles,Chachi-Chachi-Chachi, Arcola in the bound of holy matrimony.
Rachel:Oh...see...but Joanne loved Chachi! That's the difference!

解析和應用：holy matrimony神圣的婚禮，可以在朋友結婚的婚禮上用到。
[Scene:Ross's Apartment, they're all sitting around and talking.]
Ross:(scornful)Grab a spoon. Do you know how long it's been since I've grabbed a spoon? Do the words 'Billy, don't be a hero' mean anything to you?
譯文：抓住勺子。
你知道我“抓了這把勺子”多久了嗎？
你對”此爾，別逞英雄”這句話有感覺嗎？
Joey: Greatstory! ?But, I uh, I gotta go, I got a date withAndrea--Angela--Andrea... ?Oh man, (looks to Chandler)

解析和應用：介紹和形容一個人的時候就可以參考Angela's the screamer, Andrea has cats.的用法。
Ross:Y'know,here's the thing. Even if I could get it together enough to- to ask a womanout,... who am I gonna ask? (He gazes out of the window.)
譯文：是這樣的。就算我鼓起勇氣約女人出去，但我要約誰呀？
解析和應用：get it together打起精神來，可以在鼓勵別人的時候用到。

解析和應用：invade的用法，也有侵入的意思。
Joey:Listen,while you're on a roll, if you feel like you gotta make like a Western omeletor something... (Joey andChandlertaste the coffee, grimace, and pour it into a plant pot.) Although actually I'mreally not that hungry...
譯文：如果你做的挺有感覺的，你可以做一個西式蛋餅或者別的，（嘗了一口咖啡，然后吐了出來）老實說我不太餓……
解析和應用：on a roll:運氣好；超常發揮；做得很順。 如形容生意最近很火就可以說：My business is on a roll.
Monica:(entering,to herself) Oh good, Lenny and Squigy are here.
All:Morning.Good morning.
Paul:(enteringfrom Monica's room) Morning.
Joey:Morning,Paul.
Rachel:Hello, Paul.

解析和應用：Lenny and
Squigy是當時一個電視劇里邊的人物，借喻他們兩個非常頻繁地過來串門。。
(Monica andPaul walk to the door and talk in a low voice so the others can't hear. The others move Monica's table closer to the door so that they can.)
Paul:Thank you! ?Thank you so much!
Monica: Stop!
Paul:No, I'mtelling you last night was like umm, all my birthdays, both graduations, plusthe barn raising scene inWitness.
譯文：不行，我要告訴你昨晚就像我所有的生日，畢業典禮，和谷倉收獲季節加在一起一樣。
解析和應用：形容一件事特別難忘的用法。
Monica:We'll talk later.
Paul:Yeah. (Theykiss) Thank you. (Exits)
Joey:That wasn't a real date?! What the hell do you do on a real date?
Monica:Shut up, andput my table back.
那還不叫約會？！
那你真正的約會到底干些什么？
All:Okayyy!(They do so.)

解析和應用：make a difference,創造不同，如果想激勵一個人就可以說，go out and make a difference.
Rachel:So, like,you guys all have jobs?
譯文：你們大伙兒都有工作？
Monica:Yeah, we allhave jobs. See, that's how we buy stuff.
譯文：對，我們都有工作。這樣才有錢買東西。
Joey:Yeah, I'm anactor.
Rachel:Wow! Would Ihave seen you in anything?
譯文：對，我是個演員，

Joey:I doubt it.Mostly regional work.
譯文：應該沒有，只是地方上的一些演出。
