由于今天時間充裕，這兩章我讀得相對細致，可讀下來簡直令我脊背發(fā)涼！
隨著越讀越多，我們也越來越了解Winston的日常心態(tài)和行事風格，以及他周圍的“同志”和“群眾”都在以何種狀態(tài)生活著。有的人徹底被黨洗腦，比如Winston的老婆、鄰居Parsons和他的兩個孩子；有的人過于聰明，話說的太直白、太透徹，就像Syme；還有Winston自己，連他自己都知道被發(fā)現(xiàn)“罪行”是遲早的事情。像過篩子一樣，最后留下來的，大概都是people of paralysing stupidity。其恐怖程度難以想象。
下面來說令我印象最深刻的幾個片段。首先是一開篇的食堂場景，語言生動而場面卻令人驚奇。燉菜散發(fā)著金屬的酸味，這怎么吃？！食堂旁邊的小酒吧也實在是“小”得可以。這些都是人們生活越來越差的真實寫照，它們與號角時常傳來的激昂廣播形成了鮮明地對照。
From the grille at the counter the steam of stew came pouring forth, with a sour metallic smell which did not quite overcome the fumes of Victory Gin. On the far side of the room there was a small bar, a mere hole in the wall, where gin could be bought at ten cents the large nip.
接下來分享兩個有趣的口語表達。其一，原來順便買點酒還能這么說：'Let's pick up a gin on the way.'。這里的 pick up = to buy something or get it from a shop。其二，我看到文中那句 " I think you're so right, I do so agree with you. " 瞬間想到早晨剛學到的地道表達：I couldn't agree more. 哈哈。
還有當Winston的鄰居向他要完捐款時，對他記錄字體的形容竟然是整齊得像文盲一樣。我想這里應該是襯托了Parsons寫字時的鄭重之感，暗示他被洗腦的程度之深。

此外，當Winston聽說鄰居Parsons家的小孩已經(jīng)開始利用插在鑰匙孔里的竊聽器監(jiān)聽大人后，他的煙絲終于無法控制的掉了出來。這個細節(jié)描寫，其實也是Winston最真實的心理反應——恐懼。
盡管內(nèi)容讀起來真令人毛骨悚然，我愈發(fā)覺得從開篇就設置了的以Winston日記的視角來揭示他的真實思想和社會現(xiàn)狀，是一個非常絕妙的角度，將其呈現(xiàn)得淋漓盡致。
