寫在前面的話
看老友記學(xué)英語這個(gè)系列已經(jīng)到第十三期了，有人說，人與人最小的差距是智商的差距，最大的差距是堅(jiān)持的差距。在成長(zhǎng)的道路上能夠堅(jiān)持做一件事真的非常重要，而且堅(jiān)持不是盲目的堅(jiān)持，而是有方法地去堅(jiān)持。那么方法怎么找呢？
學(xué)習(xí)不能等，要在行動(dòng)的過程中尋找方法
如果你先花上三天時(shí)間認(rèn)真地思考到底應(yīng)該怎么學(xué)英語，而且做了一個(gè)周全而又詳細(xì)的計(jì)劃，那么三天以后和你一起開始學(xué)英語的小伙伴可能早已經(jīng)記熟幾百個(gè)單詞了，而你卻發(fā)現(xiàn)你花了三天做出的計(jì)劃并不符合你的實(shí)際學(xué)習(xí)情況，需要推倒重來。然后你又花了三天，做了一個(gè)新的學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃，這樣一直下去，必然是把時(shí)間都浪費(fèi)在了做沒有用的計(jì)劃上去了。
我認(rèn)為在學(xué)習(xí)這件事上，最好是一邊實(shí)踐一邊總結(jié)學(xué)習(xí)方法，而不是先做出一套方法來再拿來去實(shí)踐。因?yàn)楫?dāng)你實(shí)踐過之后自然會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)什么樣的方法好用，什么樣的方法不好用，好用的方法就可以堅(jiān)持下去，不好用的自然就會(huì)丟掉。
網(wǎng)絡(luò)上有很多大神介紹自己的學(xué)習(xí)方法，我們都可以拿來嘗試，如果試后發(fā)現(xiàn)適合自己，那最好不過了。如果試后發(fā)現(xiàn)不適合自己就可以去試新的方法。就像是一條路一樣，本來沒有路，是在不停地嘗試以后，走得多了，才成了路。
拿我自己作為一個(gè)例子。我剛開始背單詞的時(shí)候是拿著詞典背的，因?yàn)楫?dāng)時(shí)看了新東方俞敏洪的演講，他說他背單詞就是拿一本詞典從a開始背，一直背到最后一頁。我看完他的演講以后熱血沸騰，也開始背詞典，結(jié)果才背了兩頁就背不下去了，主要原因是有些單詞太多生僻，日常生活中根本用不到，我一邊背一邊計(jì)算將來會(huì)用到這個(gè)詞的機(jī)率，當(dāng)我發(fā)現(xiàn)太小的時(shí)候，幾乎就沒有動(dòng)力了。所以我就放棄了這種背單詞的方法。
后來有一段時(shí)間聽了另外一個(gè)大神的分享，我又開始聽VOA, 而且我會(huì)把材料都打印出來，標(biāo)記出所有的生詞，然后每天都記。我記得當(dāng)時(shí)上班的時(shí)候開會(huì)前我都會(huì)拿出來記兩個(gè)單詞。結(jié)果有一次我聽了一篇關(guān)于保護(hù)野生動(dòng)物的報(bào)道，然后開始記里邊的生詞。兩個(gè)同事看到我正在記 “北美麋鹿” 這個(gè)單詞，一個(gè)對(duì)另一個(gè)說，“看人家多用功”。另一個(gè)說，“我才不記這種單詞呢，浪費(fèi)時(shí)間”。我當(dāng)時(shí)聽了猶如棒喝，突然發(fā)現(xiàn)自己可能又找錯(cuò)了方向。VOA里邊的大部分資料也是偏向于社會(huì)，政治，自然環(huán)境，和我們的生活也有一定的距離。不是說不能學(xué)，而是應(yīng)該先學(xué)好常用的，再去學(xué)那些比較合理。所以我也放棄了這種學(xué)習(xí)方法。
直到現(xiàn)在我選擇了看美劇學(xué)英語的方法。它的劇情都是和我們的生活息息相關(guān)，所以用到的都是高頻詞匯，而且還可以學(xué)習(xí)地道的表達(dá)方法，具體方法可以參考我之前寫的看老友記學(xué)英語 (007) - 如何把英語學(xué)習(xí)輕松融入到日常生活中去。當(dāng)然如果在行動(dòng)的過程中我再遇到更好的方法，我還會(huì)果斷地接著去嘗試。
下面就接著學(xué)習(xí)老友記吧。
103 The One With theThumb
[Scene: Central Perk,everyone but Phoebe is there.]
Phoebe:(entering)Hi guys!
All:Hey, Phoebes! Hi!
Ross:Hey. Oh, oh,how'd it go?
Phoebe:Um, not so good. He walked me to the subway and said 'We should do this again!'
All: Oh h. Ouch.
Rachel:What? He said 'we should do it again', that's good, right?
Monica:Uh, no. Loosely translated（粗略地翻譯一下，He didn't reply your weichat message, loosely translated, he doesn't like you.）'We should do this again' means 'You will never see me naked'.
Rachel:Since when?
Joey:Since always. It's like dating language. Y'know, like 'It's not you' means 'It isyou'.
Chandler:Or 'You're such a nice guy' means 'I'm gonna be dating leather-wearing alcoholics (皮革族的酒徒)and complaining about them to you'.
Phoebe:Or, or,y'know, um, 'I think we should see other people' means 'Ha, ha, I already am'.
Rachel:And everybody knows this?
Joey:Yeah.Cushions the blow (給墊著點(diǎn)兒,減緩打擊。His hat helped to cushion the blow.).
Chandler:Yeah, it's like when you're a kid, and your parents put your dog to sleep（put to sleep:殺死|使入睡）, and they tell you it went off to live on some farm.
Ross: That's funny, that, no, because, uh, our parents actually did, uh, send our dog off to live on a farm.
Monica:Uh, Ross.

(Joey takes out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. ?He fumbles and drops the lighter. ?Thenhe lights a cigarette, takes a drag, and coughs.)
Chandler:I think this is probably why Damone smokes in his cell alone.
Joey:What?
Chandler:Relax your hand!
(Joey lets his wrist go limp.)
Chandler:Not so much!
Joey:Whoah!

All:Yeah. Yeah,excellent.
Rachel:(leaving to serve others)Good for me（我好棒。Good for you,你好棒）!
