網易云音樂里排第一的評論是:“用唱情歌的語氣告訴前女友滾遠點”。我個人認為這個解讀有點想當然了。歌詞里雖然在反復勸前任放手，但目的是讓她"love yourself"。當然最有力的證據應該是這一句，“And I didn't wanna write a song cause I didn't want anyone thinking I still care”。嘴上說不要，但是身體卻很誠實。雖然說不想寫歌紀念這段感情，讓別人誤會，但其實歌詞里有不少描寫感情細節的部分。因此我認為這首歌表達的是，希望對方放下這段感情，開始嶄新的生活，別讓這段過去的記憶成為人生路上的累贅，好好愛自己。不過我覺得更深層次的理解也可以說自己其實也放不下，一直在逞強。這些勸說實際上也是在對自己說。
