說起時間的英文表達，我們都知道上午是am，下午是pm，
那么中午12點是am還是pm呢？
am和pm分別指什么？
am是拉丁語ante meridiem的縮寫，意為before noon（午前，即12點之前）；比如上午九點為9:00?am。
pm則是拉丁語post meridiem的縮寫，意為after noon（午后，即12點之后），比如晚上11點為11:00 pm。
于是我們就清楚了，中午12點為meridiem，即noon。因此：
中午12點：12:00 noon
午夜12點：12:00 midnight
千萬別再說錯了哦~
PS：關于午夜12點，如果你想表達一天的結束，可以用12:00 midnight；但如果想表達新一天的開始，則用00:00（zero o'clock）更合適。

當然，如果你覺得這種表達略顯生硬，還可以換幾種說法：
Could I have the time?
Do you have the time?
What's?the?time?
注意time前面一定要加the，否則你問別人“Do you have time?”就變成了問“你有時間嗎？

這個短語并不是“5點的影子”，而是指男生的胡須！男生在早上刮完胡子后，到下午五點就會長出來一點點胡子。
