Today is the Chinese Lunar New Year day. On this day, Chinese people always visit relatives and friends. Juniors greet seniors, wishing them health and longevity, while seniors give juniors some gift money as a wish for safety in the coming year.

Last night I stayed in Beijing and had supper at my parents in law's home with my son, my wife and relatives. It has been the first time that I spend the New Year's Eve in Beijing since 2008. We had a delicious, wonderful and happy dinner. We made dumplings by ourselves. Everyone took part in the cooking. Children were very glad to learn how to make dumplings. They spread flour everywhere. The sizes and the shapes of the dumplings are different. What a mess in the dining room. All of us enjoyed the whole process.
