鮑勃·迪倫1941年5月24日出生于美國明尼蘇達州，原名羅伯特·艾倫·齊默曼（Robert Allen Zimmerman），是有著重要影響力的一位美國唱作人、民謠歌手、音樂家、詩人。作為一個音樂家，迪倫的唱片總銷量已超過1億，是世界范圍內最暢銷的音樂藝人之一。
此外，鮑勃·迪倫還獲得過1991年格萊美終身成就獎；2000年奧斯卡最佳原創歌曲獎；2001年金球獎最佳原創歌曲獎；2008年普利策獎特別榮譽獎；2013年法國榮譽軍團騎士勛章；2008年諾貝爾文學獎提名。
