1. critic和reviewer是兩個相關但不同的概念。reviewer的任務更多的是傳遞信息，所以語言要通俗易懂。

2. 兩種文體有的技巧是通用的。作者應該愛好所評論的領域。不要劇透太多，降低讀者實際的體驗，但是又要用語言讓讀者如臨其境感受到作者所感受的。避免使用華而不實的主觀形容詞，要用精煉而生動的語言表達你的所見所聞所感。加入細節的描寫和例子，讓你的形容有所指。

3. criticism是一種嚴肅的、對思維需求高的藝術。作者需要把這部作品與之前出現過的類似作品或者作者的其他作品進行比較。這就要求作者對該領域有更深的研究。知識儲備豐厚的作者才能辨別先鋒者和模仿者。

4. critic寫作是可以假設讀者是有一定背景知識的，所以可以省略關于常識的解說，專注于表達自己的想法，引發讀者的思考。除此之外，文章還應該有自己個性。

5. 最好的criticism是有格調的、引人入勝的，并且引發讀者思考、重新檢視他們以前的觀點。如果有些大家都認為是理所當然的事情被打破，critic應該讓大眾了解。

6. 幽默感是critic的要素，可是它首先應該是一篇完整的、有素養的、有明確觀點的文章，而不是一味討好的抖機靈。不能引發討論的critic不值得寫。take your stand with conviction.
