1. A trouble
A day is a miniature of the enternity.
Sometimes you have already known that the things you promised to someone would cost a lot of time, and even though you have tried your best to refuse him, but reasonably accept his requesition in the end. Do you know what is the consequences?
Recently, I found I was trapped in this trouble. Seniors Chen as a doctor of philosophy, hardly does experiments personaly. He spends almost of his time in accomplishing boss's tasks, including write articles, modify literatures, apply for projects and so on. As a result, he has to be a manager mainly delivering thoughts to others who would like to help him.?
In our laboratory, there is no intern from May to Augest in every year. Previously, a friend who worked here after graduation was responsible to accomplish experiments for Doctor Chen. However, the friend left here lately and searched for a new job, and other interns also came back to defend, so there is nobody who could help him, but except me.
He asked me uncontiously, "Have you accomplised all courses in school?"
"You say what's your purpose firstly." I said with a smile.
"Please don't treat me as a wolf. I just care about you--my junior sister apprentice."
"All right. Most of courses have been done only one needs to exam in the end of term, so I have time except for Friday." I answered seriously. However, it's not a good thing.
Doctor Chen looked me sincerely, smiled innocently, and speaked relaxedly," You are suitble for doing research. Both the boss and I value you ?very much. Exactly, you can help me measure COD and change the water by the way when you do your own experiments."
I refused him," I'm sorry I have no time to help you. All of my experiments are arranged in the morning, and I don't want to waste time in them in the afternoon. Can you understand?"
However, it's no use to a hooligan. I can't resist one who looked you sincerely and smiled innocently. As expected, I promised, I promised to help him "by the way". But do you really think it's easy to "by the way". I told you the truth. After promising to him, I spend about one to two hour in his things. As a result, it breaks my former plans and I have to occupy an afternoon of time, which leads me no time to doing my own things. On the contrary, he could read literature, write articles but not add my name on it. What achievements can I get? ——Waste my time! What about him?——Cost others time to do own things! He is too smart!
As a summary, if one thing makes you trapped in two sides, insist on refusing him and never don't be tender-hearted.
