Lesson２ Process Quality Control 過程質量控制

1. Opening speech 開場致辭

以下是四個近義詞reason, explanation, grounds, excuse的運用
reason 理由

• He had every reason to be upset. 他完全有理由生氣
• We consider that the reason to produce the unqualified copper wire is, the unreasonable/improper set-up parameter of stranding machine.我們認為導致這批銅線不合格的原因，是我們的絞線機參數設置不合理。

explanation 解釋

• The most likely explanation is that his plane was delayed. 最有可能的解釋是他飛機誤點了。

Grounds （正式的、信服的）理由

• He retired from the job on health grounds. 他因為健康原因而退休。
• Ning Zetao retired from the national swimming team on personal grounds. 寧澤濤因為個人原因而退出國家隊。

Excuse 借口

• Late again! What’s your excuse this time? 你又遲到了，這次找什么借口？

5. Corresponding to the root causes I listed above, we make improvements in the three following points.與以上我所列的根本原因對應，我們進行了以下三個方面的改進：

Correspond to 與...相符， 與...相關
在本文中，我們用correspond的現在分詞corresponding，再帶上to，表示當前的狀態。

• correspond to the facts 與事實相符
• His statements don't correspond to the facts.他的陳述與事實不符。

Correspond with 通信，既可是紙質書信，也可是電子郵件

• corresponds with Chinese friend 和中國友人通信
• She still corresponds with Chinese friend she met in Shanghai nine years ago. 他仍然保持與九年前在上海遇到的中國朋友通信。

10. Are there any consequences for the oxidization for the parts?零件氧化的后果有哪些？

consequences n. 后果，consequences作為后果解釋，必須用復數。

• He already knew serious/tremendous consequences for the affair, and he got ready to go to the jail/prison. 他已經明白了這起事件的嚴重后果，已經作好了入獄的準備。
• An economic crisis has tremendous consequences for global stability/world peace. 經濟危機已經嚴重影響到全球穩定/世界和平（crisis這里是可數名詞）。
• The consequences would be receiving a serious complaint, if we deliver this batch of unqualified products to customer. 如果把這批不良品發到客戶那里，那后果就是會收到嚴重的投訴。

adverse adj. 惡劣的

• Though the environment/condition was very/quite/extremely adverse, we still finished the project in advance. 盡管環境/條件非常/相當/極為惡劣，我們還是提前完成了項目。

容易混淆的詞：advanced 先進的， adventure 冒險的， advantage 優點/disadvantage缺點

• The company will pay extra allowance for the employees who work in the adverse environment. 對于在惡劣環境下工作的員工，公司會給他們額外的津貼。

12. ...35 Celsius degree lower than specified temperature. So the lower temperature didn’t work on the backshell baking. ...要低于指定溫度35攝氏度，因此低溫在外殼烘烤上不起作用。

Specified 指定的

• The operators/workers have lunch in the specified area in the workshop everyday. 工人每天在車間的指定區域用午餐。

Specific 特定的

• Specific groups 特別小組， specific problem 特別問題

specified是指定的、規定的，如specified time, specified place 規定時間、規定地點，簡稱“雙規”；
而specific重點在“特定”，如特別行動小組specific action group，特事特辦

• The type of connector is specified by customer. 客戶指定了連接器型號。

同樣由Economy經濟一詞，派生出來的economic和economical
前者指經濟的，如economic affairs經濟事務，economic issues 經濟問題；
后者economical指節約的、便宜的，economical price便宜的價格

• This new oven is highly economical. 這種新烘箱非常節能。

Lesson 6 Terminal crimping 端子壓接

1. There are 3 process steps before signal wire crimping. 在信號線壓接前有三個步驟。

There 那里

• We shall soon be there. 我們很快到達那兒。

There is (are) 有…

• There is a book. 有本書。
• There are many students there. 那兒有許多學生。

Here也可以用于這種句型。

• There is a book.

2. ...the operating sequence is checking the type of raw cable. 操作順序是檢查電纜型號。

• The color sequence yellow, orange, purple, blue, green and white
• The color sequence of rainbow is red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple. 彩虹的顏色順序是赤、橙、黃、綠、青、藍、紫。

Unacceptable 難以接受的、不能容忍的，在課文里不適合使用該詞。

• Joanna left her husband because of his unacceptable behavior. Joanna離開她的丈夫，因為他難以容忍的行為。

Acceptable認同的，值得接受的

5. push the cable shielding wires backward 向后翻電纜屏蔽

Backward 向后
In American English, backward is usually used as an adverb instead of backwards. 在美語中，常用backward來代替backwards來代表副詞。因此，我們可以就用backward,同樣適用于以下的forward。

• He took two steps backward. 向后退兩步。

Forward 向前

• look forward 向前看

6. cut shielding wire and wrap the copper foil around shielding wire as below 如下圖用銅箔包裹屏蔽絲

Braid n.布帶，穗帶
Braid v.編辮子（Braiding指電纜的編織絲）
wrap v. 包裹

• Wrap the foil over the fish. 把魚裹上薄膜。
• He wrapped his arms around her.他緊緊摟住她。

7. Flip the plastic foil backward, remove the filling yarn, and fit the shrink tube.向后翻塑料層，移除填充線，再套上熱縮套管。

Pull/Push the foil back ,這是不地道的表達方式，正確地應該用Fit

• fit the shrink tube裝上熱縮套管
• She fitted her key in the lock. 她把鑰匙插進鎖孔。

Position安放、安置，這里也不能用position來表示套熱縮管。

• Position the large television screen 安裝大型電視屏幕

Hitch 把..鉤住，if you look up the word "套上" in some electronic dictionary如果在電子詞典查“套上”，會出來hitch，也不正確

• hitch the horse to the cart 套上馬車
• Hitch up 向上提
• He hitched up his trousers 向上提褲子

Lesson 7 PCBA soldering 介紹PCBA焊接

1. attention for the correct stamp size

如果要讓工人注意選用正確的焊接頭，就直接告訴他們該用哪個，不要用pay attention這種表達

• Pay great attention to these points. 要特別注意這幾點。
• Thank you for your attention. 感謝你們的聆聽。

2. place two PCBs into the PCB holder

原意是要表達“將PCB插入工裝”，可以用fit或者insert，不要用place。

• place the handkerchief in the inside pocket of his jacket 把手帕放入上衣口袋
• place the chairs in rows 把椅子排成排
• place the hand on his shoulder 把手搭在他肩膀上

3. Mount the PCB holder into the jig 把PCB固定工裝插入夾具

mount這里使用正確，mount 鑲嵌，安置

• mount the diamond in the gold 把鉆石鑲嵌在金子里
• mountain (in place names) mountain的縮寫
  Mount Himalaya 喜馬拉雅山
• Fix the frame on the wall 把畫框固定在墻上
• He's going to fix a time when I can see him. 他將確定與我見面的時間。
• The date of the election was fixed. 競選日期已經確定。

• Dix pushed forward carrying a glass. Dix拿著杯子向前擠。

• Press a button or switch 按下開關
• Drago pressed a button and the door closed. Drago按下開關后門開了。

push button 按開關，與press button同義

• put the book on the desk 把書放在桌上

7. For example, a soldering point that was first covered with soldering paste cannot or should not be heated up immediately to the melting temperature. 例如，被焊錫膏所覆蓋的第一個焊點，不能也不該被立即加熱到熔化溫度
