讀完Elon Musk,全書(shū)有兩條主線(事業(yè)、人際),三個(gè)主題(SpaceX, Tesla,Solar )。
從?高效能人士的七個(gè)習(xí)慣?的視角來(lái)分析Musk,我們會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)在Dependent和Interdependent兩個(gè)層面上,Musk不同的表現(xiàn)。
在Dependent的層面上,Musk堪稱典范。
1、Be proactive。Proactive在Musk的身上尤為突出,他始終都是一個(gè)積極主動(dòng)的人。 在婚姻中,他是Alpha Man;在事業(yè)中他一定要掌握主動(dòng)權(quán),所以他一定要在SpaceX 、Tesla中占得多數(shù)股份,牢牢把握主動(dòng)權(quán);在事業(yè)發(fā)展方向上,始終主動(dòng)出擊,他所提出的理念,都是前所未有,正是由于“主動(dòng)”,他實(shí)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)個(gè)“不可能”。
2、Begin with the end in mind 。 Musk 是這一理念的忠實(shí)踐行者。從少年時(shí)代、大學(xué)時(shí)期到創(chuàng)業(yè)時(shí)期,他始終“以終為始”,每一步都是朝著兒時(shí)的夢(mèng)想不斷邁進(jìn),矢志不渝。
少年時(shí):Musk had blended fatansy and reality to the point that there were hard to separate in his mind .Musk came to see man's fate in the universe as a ?personal obligation .?
青年時(shí):He viewed the Internet , renewable energy and space as the three areas that would undergo siginificant change in the years to come and as the markets he could make a big impact .?
創(chuàng)業(yè)時(shí):Each one of his businesses is interconnected in the short term and long term .?
3、Put first things first 。 Musk 始終知道什么是first things ,邁出的每一步都是為了實(shí)現(xiàn)最終的目標(biāo)。其中印象最深刻的就是Musk對(duì)于上市的認(rèn)識(shí),當(dāng)眾多企業(yè)被資本市場(chǎng)撩撥得蠢蠢欲動(dòng)時(shí),Musk卻表現(xiàn)出深深擔(dān)憂,This causes people to be distracted by the manic-depressive nature of the stock instead of creating great products . 由此我們看出,Musk始終知道什么是first things--就是踏踏實(shí)實(shí)做實(shí)業(yè),實(shí)現(xiàn)自己的夢(mèng)想。
而在Interdependent 的層面,Musk差強(qiáng)人意。
對(duì)我印象最深刻的就是Brown被解雇。Brown是追隨Musk多年,陪伴他經(jīng)歷風(fēng)雨、任勞任怨的忠臣。但是未曾想到提出加薪的要求后,就直接開(kāi)掉了,以一種悲壯的方式—I don't need you any more 。這就是陪伴Musk多年的忠臣的下場(chǎng)。連作者都看不下去了,忍不住說(shuō),whatever the case ,the optics of the situation were terrible. .....in such an unceremonious fashion .....這就是冷酷無(wú)情的Musk,不念舊情。
另一個(gè)典型的案例就是他對(duì)待前妻,女方還在考慮是否離婚時(shí),他已經(jīng)單方面決絕地起訴離婚了。
他那種“召之即來(lái),揮之即棄”的作風(fēng)讓多少曾經(jīng)的元老或追隨多年的員工心痛,拼死拼活追隨他,到頭來(lái)卻像垃圾一樣丟掉。員工對(duì)他敬而遠(yuǎn)之,生怕稍有不慎就被開(kāi)掉。
Elon‘s worst trait by far is a complete lack of loyalty or human connection ....Many of us worked tirelessly for him for years and were tossed to the curb like a piece of litter without a second thought .....
The employees want to be close to Musk ,but they also fear that he 'll suddenly change his mind about something and that every interaction with hims is an opportunity to be fired .?
如果沒(méi)有Stuart作為middle man 協(xié)調(diào)上下關(guān)系,如果沒(méi)有Shotwell 在外圍幫他處理爛攤子,他的人際狀況一定是一團(tuán)糟。?

但是人無(wú)完人,無(wú)論他為人處世如何讓人難以接受,其超乎常人的光芒熠熠生輝,讓人心生敬畏。
