New Year's Resolution - 2021. 新年打算
Stick to my spare time English teaching hobby, moving forward in a relatively larger scale so as to benefit more with what I think a better way of learning English. I am interested in exploring things that is benefitial to three parties, learners, oneself, and society. Delivering education program to a larger group with a small or no cost will bnefit students; the achievement of helping people contributes to the satisfaction of self-realization, both of which will do good to the scociety as a whole. This small target, I think, is achievable.?
It is feasible to achive in half a year a relatively good feel for English language, the sprachgefuhl(語感), with a gradual buildup of students' ability of nice pronunciation with shadowing and repeating of sentences in quite an English way of sounding; to have a basic mastery of the framework of English grammar, (still, gradually, and roughly in another half year). With a continuation of the improvement of feelings of the language, students are being introduced and helped with an establishment of a preliminary reading habit, with simple and fun materials as a start. Meanwhile, starting the covering of the 850 core English words.?
In a word, to let more people understand and participate in such a learning project, to master the indispensable essence of English language in a short time.
I have completed an experimental class with a small group of students and achieved the goal in three years. The children who participated in the program all performed well in their schools, and are all on top in class on English subject. Moreover, I've got quite some valuable lessons and experiences from those years of teaching practice.?
Today I am working on a new class, for several months already, a small one as before but with ages ranging a bit greatly from a young pre-school kid, and mostly grade one or two, to a senior being over 60. They are all doing well. They all work hard and get a lot, even though they have much work to do at school and have not much time for out-of-scholl English learning, and, that's the reason that I slow the program progess a bit to leave them more time to assimilate. That also gives me more leisure time, to enable me to have a New Year Resolution as this, to have more students, as I feel that I have extra time and energy to handle more.?
Below is some recordings of them, you can see that they are all good in pronunciation already, flow and rhythm are natural. Even though they are only mimicking and shadowing, it's already a remarkable achievement to reach such a level from a Zero language background in five months. They can be said to have got the feeling of the language already.??
2021新年打算
微圖小志。繼續(xù)業(yè)余英語教學愛好的發(fā)展，擴大一下。嘗試向規(guī)模化前行。把自己認為比較好的英語學習方式介紹給給更多人。
已經完成了一個班的周期學習，達到了預期目的，三年基本就完成了上述目標，盡管他們只達到我要求的一半，但參加學習的孩子們在學校里沒有英語落后的。
現(xiàn)在又開了一個新的學習班，進行了幾個月了，初期目標已經達到了，發(fā)音很象樣，語感基本有了。聽聽他們的學習錄音就能感覺出來。 后續(xù)學習也按計劃推進。 小的是學齡前兒童，老的是六十歲以上了，但發(fā)音都有長足的進步，尤其是從零基礎學起的孩子，仿讀的發(fā)音和語調基本沒有本族語的味道了。
第一個班的經驗教訓是，需要強制性要求把重要的句型和單詞寫熟，養(yǎng)成寫的習慣； 還要進行閱讀的提早培養(yǎng)（泛讀）。這些通過減少新材料的學習量的來完成（精讀更精練，泛讀跟上）。
做這件事比較有意義，利人利己利社會。利人讓更多的英語初學者多一個較快地獲取重要的英語系統(tǒng)知識的渠道； 利公為社會培養(yǎng)積蓄后備人才貢獻點力量。這事對自己也不是負擔也沒壞處，還能豐富業(yè)余生活。?
從聽說讀寫來方面，半年英語聽說的語感建立起來，半年英語閱讀的感覺和習慣初步涉獵，再半年把英語的基本框架給與介紹歸納，再半年，伴隨著英語語言點的持續(xù)學習，把850個核心單詞也進行盡可能多的學習覆蓋，同時繼續(xù)英語閱讀的感覺的提高，繼續(xù)語言點的可理解輸入。這樣兩到三年就已經算是“學會英語”了，盡管還不是“學好英語”。
授之以漁，起到師傅領進門的作用，讓學習者為以后在學校學習英語或自己進行深入學習打下牢固的基礎。
這樣的小目標的實現(xiàn)還是可期的： 讓更多人了解和參加這一學習項目，短期內掌握少而精的不可或缺的英語精華部分。
所以，今年的新年愿望就是擴大一下這個學習項目的學生規(guī)模，在更廣泛的人群中完善這一學習項目。
