Outline：
It was generally evident that Mr. Bingley did admire Jane, and Elizabeth know Jane also admire him. But Jane considered that it was not likely to be discovered by the world in general. Elizabeth disagree it and mentioned it to his friend Charlotte.
Occupied in observing Mrs. Bennet’s attentions to her sister, Elizabeth did not know that she was herself becoming an object of interest in the eyes of Mr. Darcy, and Mr. Darcy began to wish to know more of Elizabeth.
Coincidently, Sir William introduced Elizabeth to Darcy as a dancing partner, and Darcy willing was to receive it, but Elizabeth did not. Then they have an argument.

8. symmetry n.勻稱，對(duì)稱性
9. defy v.藐視，挑釁（def 是極好的，能延期的，首屈一指的）
10. savage n.未開(kāi)化，粗魯?shù)娜耍ㄒ驗(yàn)槭俏撮_(kāi)化的人，所以同時(shí)有 adj.兇猛的, v.亂咬等意思）
11. matrimony n.結(jié)婚，婚姻生活（marry+trim+mony 結(jié)婚后整理適應(yīng)著過(guò)了很久，mony是許多的的意思，trim是修剪的意思）
12. concerto n.協(xié)奏曲，大型管弦樂(lè)套曲（concert是音樂(lè)會(huì)，音樂(lè)會(huì)上的協(xié)奏曲既競(jìng)爭(zhēng)又協(xié)作，很圓滿，所以是concerto）
13. pedantic adj.賣弄學(xué)問(wèn)的，迂腐的（pedant 是學(xué)究，書呆子，ic是形容詞后綴）
14. archly adv. 狡猾地，淘氣地（arch是拱，而拱是弧形的，所以衍生形容詞意思:狡猾的，淘氣的）
15. bestow v.使用，授予（個(gè)人記憶：stow 是將...裝好 be表被，被...裝好，就是要使用，或者授予給別人了吧）
16. intrepidity n.無(wú)畏，大膽 （insipidity n.枯燥無(wú)味，無(wú)精神）
第六章很長(zhǎng)，生詞也很多，不過(guò)是劇情有重大轉(zhuǎn)折和埋下伏筆的一章
