The Value We Hold Dear
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! Let's start my speech with a question:? What is the most precious and everlasting thing in the world in your eyes? Wealth? You may lose everything you have if you don't control your wealth carefully enough. Beautiful look? Many people pray that they can get hold of beauty, but it disappears far more quickly than they can imagine. Social status? As you grow older, you will find status is just like a passing fad and no one has the secret to keep his status forever.
So, what is the most precious and everlasting thing in the world? When you are far away from your hometown and feel especially lonely, who will you think of? When you stand on the crossroads in your life and don't know which way to choose, who will come into your mind? When you encounter greater difficulties than ever and need other's encouragement, who will give you a helping hand? And when you achieve great progress in your life, who will share their cheerful tears with you?
Yes, it's your family who you will always keep in mind and it's their love that will always support you. No matter you are happy or depressed, they will always stay with you. It’s a group that is made up of much deep devotion, joy, encouragement and sacrifice. It’s a place that is full of hopes, dreams, tears and pleasure. Historically as well as currently, there are too many families of this kind to enumerate. You see, when Thomas Edison was regarded as “the idiot” by his teacher in elementary school, it was his family’s continuing encouragement that led to his final success. When Dong Qing was confused about her future during her childhood, it was her family’s correct guidance that made her become a perfect example of the host. When I felt depressed about my academic failure, it was my family’s understanding that gave me the motivation to move on.
So ladies and gentlemen, I hope that you have already got about what family is all about. When we are little kids, family is like a beacon of light that gives us direction. When we are young adults, family is like a pillar of house that supports our life. When we are elderly people, family is like the sunshine in spring that brings us warmth. Whenever we need them, they will always stay there. It is our family that is one of the most important value we should hold dear.
前前后后忙了接近一個月終于在今天上午結束了比賽，沒拿獎特別是得知正好卡在我這的時候是很難受的，畢竟自己準備了這么久，付出了這么多，甚至在明天有考試的情況下還花大把的時間排練，雖然一直安慰自己過程比結果更重要，傷心難過難以避免，不管怎么樣，我都很感謝這一個月來努力的自己。
我很想謝謝班主任吧，其實在班上初選的時候自己也沒怎么用心也沒抱多大期望代表班里去院里參賽，可是老師最終來了句根據平時課堂表現和語音語調好壞愣是把我們幾個初選排名稍靠后的名字給加上去，這才使我們得以有這個機會去學校比賽。我也不知道從什么時候開始老師對我的期望值越來越高，她總說我是這一屆里她見過的進步最大的學生，然而我自己并沒有感覺，只是每天按著自己的計劃一步一步往前走。班里很多同學都不喜歡意德老師，說她要求的條條框框太多，每每談及此事，我總是閉口不言，因為我很喜歡這個老師，她不僅在我的學習上給予我很大幫助，更是在生活上時時刻刻關心我。我其實最感動的是寒假那次大病，那個時候爺爺奶奶都病了，爸爸媽媽每天醫院來回跑，自己又臨近開學每天熬夜補作業加上一些私事原因竟然在開學前一天病倒了，老師那天不知道我病了，打電話給我安排了開學后注意事項，我也不知道那天凌晨是想干嘛發了條朋友圈，竟然沒想到老師一大早打電話過來問我身體情況還問我要不要暫時把班上事務給團支書學委做。我接完電話莫名其妙就想哭，得一良師三生有幸。這次比賽也是，我自己稿子來來回回改了數十次，還一次次讓老師幫我看，到了最后我自己都想吐了可是老師還是在堅持幫我改稿子，比賽前仍舊念念不忘我的心里狀態，其實這次沒拿獎是有點對不住老師的，總感覺讓她失望了。
三樓的小伙伴們都很給力丫，一個一個地都很賣力地幫我對稿子，出謀劃策，給我提意見，一篇演講稿反反復復練卻總也不嫌棄我，知道我周六八點比賽前一天晚上十一點多才幫我定好妝甚至周六就6點起床幫我化妝的潔瑩真是人品好到沒話說，教我各種禮儀，上臺注意事項，教我怎么穿高跟走路，甚至我只要坐著聽她講都厭煩了她卻還在仔仔細細提醒我，雪芹聽著我練稿子不斷給我提意見甚至只因為我說了一句還沒找到合適的鞋子，大晚上回去還刷好鞋子特意給我送過來。玥玥特別熱心，明明早上是起不來的小懶豬可是得知我早上需要找她扎辮子還是義無反顧的答應起來，在我沒找到合適的衣服的時候甚至把自己的新裙子都愿意借給我，還一直強調沒關系。靜靜是最心急的一個，離比賽還有一個多禮拜她就找我去試她的衣服，并且分享給我她從學姐那邊得到的經驗，有人愿意關心你的感覺真的好好丫。
婷兒是陪我最久的一個，因為我倆同時準備比賽，每天一起改稿子，練稿子，練即興演講，糾動作糾發音，最后她拿了獎可是她卻比我還難過，替我抱不平，說我準備了那么久不應該是這個結果，我是有點難過的吧而且有點小嫉妒，可是我由衷的為她高興并且希望她能夠繼續走下去，因為她是我朋友啊，她是在我傷心難過的時候一直陪我走過來的朋友，很慶幸沒有錯過你，such a good girl! 其實我也沒想過陰差陽錯我們倆會成為這么好的朋友，是你一直陪著我熬過了陰暗的三月，不厭其煩地分享著我的難過與哀愁并且耐心地開導我；是你在我不聽話時依舊默默照顧著我，明明自己腸胃比我還差卻總是提醒我要按時吃飯；你會在乎我假期回不回家，甚至生日會不會有人陪，你會把我所有的事放在心上。我不知道你們有沒有在車站哭了一晚上茫然無助的經歷，可是我永遠記得那天早上的電話，也是這個電話，我認定了我們是一輩子的朋友。
比賽已經結束，縱使我有多少不甘也該放下，整個準備過程我體會了許多，也經歷了不少，更是認識到我不再是小孩子了，不能什么事情都得靠別人，我也希望，有一天我也可以大大方方的說“我也可以幫你”，“我能行”。
