It sounds like the word "taught" and means stretched tight, like a rope, muscles, or even nerves. It's nice to have a?taut?body with tight muscles, but not so great to have a?taut?mind — tightly wound and tense. ?肌肉結實的；顯得緊張、焦慮不安的
e.g. She told him, her voice taut, "now that you have saved my life, you are responsible for me..."

浪費青春\ 虛度光陰
雖然認識這個詞，但要是讓我翻譯浪費時光，我多半想不到這個詞，在筆記里寫一遍加深一下印象。
4. avid ? ? ?a.
Avid?usually means very eager or enthusiastic. If you're an?avid?reader, it means you read as much as you can, whenever you can. 熱衷的，酷愛的

這里的pass on是消失的意思，之所以選這句話是因為它讓我想起了上周沙塵暴后的北京~

這句話說不出哪里好，但就是很喜歡。

Tristran給星星女說的這句話好燃啊，喜歡。
Part III Summary
Septimus followed Primus to the pass in the mountain, and he found the corpse of the latter gladly, which indicated that he was the last one alive of the three heirs of Stormhold. ?
The witch-queen carried the dead unicorn with her. She made a blood puddle by cutting its head and managed to speak with her sisters. Had the star crossed the Wall and entered Tristran's world, she would be useless to the witches. Therefore, they decided to wait for her at Diggory's Dyke, for all who go to Wall must pass that way.?
Tristran made up with the star and the star finally told him her name--- Yvaine. Tristran attracted attention from a small ship named Perdita up in the sky above them, and the crew helped them aboard. The crew treated both of them with hospitality, and they spent their happiest time ever on that ship.?
Part IV
Septimus真是愚蠢而又狠毒的一個人，而witch-queen受了重傷仍然不死心，這份執著也是沒誰了。感覺他們倆旗鼓相當，期待他倆因為爭奪星星女打起來。
Tristran又一次被救了，在他的探險道路上，總是不斷地遇到樂意幫助他的人，這和他的善良淳樸是分不開的。可喜可賀的是，星星女的態度終于有所松動，能好好跟Tristran說話了，就看他倆進一步發展了。
