Today is the New Year's Eve. In China it's the most important day of a year. All of the people go back home and reunite. They eat some delicious foods, drink alcohol, watch TV and set off fireworks.

In my memory, when I was a child, the New Year's Eve was the happiest day of mine. I could eat my favorite food, dumpling, and I also could set off fireworks with my brother. We didn't have much money, so every year we could just buy a few fireworks to set off. We separated those fireworks to pieces and set off one each time. That would make the happy time longer. We looked at the flash, listened to the burst sound and felt the great excitement. Now, although I can buy many fireworks to set off on the New Year's Eve and eat dumplings everyday, I could never feel that happiness any more.

Maybe that's the cost of growing up.
