國外文書拿到中國使用，往往都需要經過公證這一環節。目的是證明文書上的簽章真實，內容是否屬實很多時候倒不構成證明重點，完全憑當事人宣誓簽名為證。
今天的這份《放棄自愿管理遺產聲明書》（Renunciation of Voluntary Administration）不僅涉及到公證，還包含一些其他法律知識點。下面一起來看看。

二. 知識點總結與延伸
1. Surrogate's Court：?代理法院
--The Surrogate's Court hears cases involving the affairs of decedents, including the probate of wills and the administration of estates. It also handles adoptions.
--代理法院主要審理與死者事務有關的案件，包括遺囑檢驗、遺產管理等；此外，亦受理收養案件。
2. of full age：達到法定成人年齡
另外，達到法定成人年齡：還可以用 “reach age of majority”，“come of age”。
如：我已達到法定成人年齡。

注：各國對成人與未成年人的年齡劃定不同，如果想套用這個句子，一定要注意數字是否“因地制宜”。該句式在駕駛證中常用。如某人1998年04月07日出生，其美國駕駛證上一般會體現“Under 21 until 04/07/2019”）。

男性管理人為 administrator，女性管理人為administratrix。
4.?goods and chattels：私人財產（通常限指：有形動產）
5. Print Name：
在長期翻譯含有簽章的文書時，我發現，這一欄的對應內容或者為打印的姓名或者為工整書寫的姓名（英文姓名則每個字母都以大寫的形式清楚寫出）。因此：
1）若為中文姓名，結合中文表達習慣，多譯為“印刷體姓名/正楷書寫”。
2）若為英文姓名，多譯為“印刷體姓名/使用英文大寫字母清楚填寫”。
3）為了避免區分的麻煩，翻譯為“印刷體姓名/姓名工整書寫”也頗為常見。
6. 公證部分中出現的“ss.”實際上是拉丁文?scilicet 的縮寫，表示“即”、“也就是說”，這里通常無需翻譯出來。之前分享的一篇公證材料翻譯筆記《美國公證書中地點之后的“SS”是什么意思》對此進行了特寫，感興趣的朋友可翻閱歷史記錄。
7. execute + agreement / contract / power of attorney 等法律文書時，表示“簽署”。????
