在印度有這樣一位圣人叫做阿瑪（Amma）
因為她從來不吝嗇給別人擁抱
所以也被尊稱為“擁抱阿瑪”
In India there is a saint called Amma
because she loves embracing people
with her unconditional hug
so she is also revered as
"the hugging saint"
阿瑪出生在印度
喀拉拉邦區
家境貧寒
Amma was born in
a poor family
in Kerela India
阿瑪小的時候
會從鄰居家撿一些
廚房剩余的飯菜
來喂家里的牛，羊
When Amma was young
she would gathered food scraps
from neighbours to feed her family's
cows and goats
在這個過程中
她看到很多很多窮人
反倒將自家的食物和衣服給他們
through which she was confronted
with intense poverty and suffering of others.
She would bring these people
food and clothing from her own home.
由于她的家境貧窮
小阿瑪的善舉經常被
父母責備
但阿瑪重來沒有停止
Her family, which was not wealthy,
scolded and punished her.
But Amma never stopped.
而且她還開始主動
關懷別人
主動擁抱、安慰
那些內心悲傷受苦的人
She also began to
spontaneously embrace
people to comfor them in their sorrow.
阿瑪說
“我不管眼前這個是男人還是女人，
在我的眼里沒有任何區別
有一股無限的愛
從我的心里涌出到所有的受造物
這是我與生俱來的天性。
就像醫生的職責是醫治病人
我的職責是安慰那些
受苦的眾生”
(Amma的天命）
Amma said
"I don’t see if it is a man or a woman.
I don't see anyone different from my own self.
A continuous stream of love flows from me to all of creation.
This is my inborn nature.
The duty of a doctor is to treat patients.
In the same way, my duty is to console those who are suffering."
阿瑪無數次拒絕了
父母為她安排的婚事。
她的生活發生了意想不到的改變
很多求道者開始住在她的家
希望成為阿瑪的門徒
于是阿瑪的基金會MAM
就誕生了
MAM每年投入很多
靈性和慈善活動。
Ammarejected numerous attempts
by her parents to arrange for her marriage.
Her life took a different path instead.
After spiritual seekers had begun residing at her parents' property
in the hope of becoming Amma's desciples
MAM - a worldwide foundation was founded
Today MAM
is engaged in many spiritual and
charitable activities
并且在信眾的要求下
阿瑪每年都在全世界各地
教授靈性課程
At the request of devotees,
Amma also began to conduct
programs in countries throughout the world.
She has done so annually ever since.
阿瑪施予達顯（即加持）的方式
是給予人們擁抱
Amma's form of giving Darshan
("auspicious sight")
is hugging people
問這是怎么開始的呢？
阿瑪說“人們會來到我跟前
訴說他們的難處
他們哭著對我說
然后我便試著拭去
他們的淚水
人們把頭埋到我的大腿上哭泣
然后我就擁抱他們。
然后別人也想這么做
就成了習慣......”
When asked how it began
Amma said
"People used to come and tell me
their troubles. They would cry and
I would wipe their tears.
When they fell weeping into my lap,
I used to hug them.
Then the next person wanted it too...
and so the habit picked up."
不管是男女老少
什么種族什么背景
什么宗教
阿瑪都毫不吝嗇地給予
無條件的擁抱
Doesn't matter it's man, woman, old & young
no matter what race, what background
what religion
Amma gives her hug
unconditionally
阿瑪在過去30年來
已經在全世界擁抱了
三千三百多萬人
而且有時候
甚至連續20個小時
一直給人擁抱 （達顯）
Amma has embraced
more than 33 million people
throughout the world for over 30 years.
She sometimes give Darshan (hugs)
continuously for more than 20 hours!
當被問及她借助擁抱能
幫助受傷的世界到什么程度呢？
When asked to what extent
she thought her embraces by hugging people
could help the ills of the world
阿瑪說：
“我不認為我能夠100%的改變世界，
就像你不能把彎曲的狗尾巴拉直一樣。
但這個社會是由微小的個人所組成的。
所以只要我持續影響每一個個人，
你就能在社會上帶來一些改變，
間接影響整個世界。
你無法改變世界，但你可以帶來一些改變。
人們內心的戰爭是外在戰爭的主因。
所以，如果你可以觸動人的話，你也可以觸動世界。”
Amma said
"I don’t say I can do it 100 percent.
Attempting to change the world [completely]
is like trying to straighten the curly tail of a dog.
But society takes birth from people.
So by affecting individuals, you can make changes in the society and,
through it, in the world.
You cannot change it, but you can make changes.
The fight in individual minds is responsible for the wars.
So if you can touch people, you can touch the world."

小編昨天很有幸見到阿瑪本人
并且接收阿瑪的擁抱加持
（順便說一下阿瑪的加持
都是完全免費公益的）
我也是上個月在尼泊爾才聽說
阿瑪這位擁抱圣人
沒想到一回到澳洲
阿瑪就來了！
（阿瑪隔幾年才來一次！）
所以真是宇宙的同步性
無時無刻不存在
I feel very grateful
to be embraced by Amma through her hugs
I only heard about Amma last month in Nepal
Who knows when I arrive in Australia
she is here!
(Amma only comes to Australia
in a few years)
The synchronicities of the Universe
is indeed omnipresent
阿瑪的擁抱
非常溫暖充滿滿滿的愛
也讓小編的心更敞開
擁抱完阿瑪后
我同樣感到
心里有更多的愛
流動出來給周圍的一切
Amma's hugs is very warm
and full of love
she has helped to
open up my heart further
after being hugged by Amma
I also feel an abundant
flow of love
coming out from my heart
flowing to everything and everyone
around me
受到阿瑪的加持
讓小編能變得
更勇敢去做內心想做的事
并且更大方和無條件地給予
這個世界更多的愛
After receiving Darshan by Amma
It also made me feel
more courageous to do
the things I want to do
to give more generously
and unconditional love
to the world
你和我其實并沒有區別
愛其實就是
我們的本源
我們其實都是
無條件
無限的愛
There is actually no distinction
between you and I
love is our true essence
we are in fact
all unconditional
infinite love
