大概是因為中英思維方式不同，很多簡單的句子咋一聽好像很難用英文表達出來，其實掌握了一些基本詞匯，比如do, go, get, make，多多思考和積累，這些句子往往能用你想不到的簡單詞匯，地道準確地表達出來。
我看完《劍橋初級英語語法》后，積累了66個這樣的句子，下面選出20個供大家參考。
1. 你踩到我了。
You are standing on my foot. （很形象吧。）
2. 那個鐘是好的嗎？
Is that clock working? （不用good。）
3. 水在100攝氏度開。
Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.（注意攝氏度的表達。）
4. 他有時會遲到，但不經常。
Sometimes he is late, but it doesn't happen very often. （也可以說but only occasionally，但沒有原句好。）
5. 我打翻了一個玻璃杯，把它打碎了。
I knocked over a glass and broke it. (Knock over這種基本搭配還是要背一背的。)
6. 杰克在學校學了法語，沒學德語。
Jack did French at school, but didn't do German. (do可以用在多種場景。)
7. 橋現在被封鎖了。
The bridge is closed at the moment. （沒想到封鎖可以用這么簡單的詞表示吧？）
8. 開車時應該系安全帶。
When you're driving, you should wear a seat belt.（系用wear表示。）
9. 你認為我應該換個工作嗎？
Do you think I should get another job?（你的第一反應是不是change?其實也可以說Do you think I
should change a job?但這里用get很好，要說地道英語，do, get,go是三個繞不開每天都要用的詞。）
10. 我認為他應該去看醫生。
I think he should go to the doctor.（去看醫生，go to the doctor就可以了，沒必要說go to see the doctor。）
11. 伊恩不需要很努力，他工作很輕松。
Ian doesn't have to work hard. He's got an easy job.（我沒有想到更好的句子來表示“他工作很輕松”。）
12. 你走到車站要多久？
How long did it take you to walk to the station? (這是個句型，也很常用，值得一記。)
13. 你不能強迫我跟你走。
You can’t make me go with you.（說地道口語，make也是一個要花時間去了解的詞。）
14. 你想參觀下這個城市嗎？
Would you like to go on a tour of the city?（go幾乎可以表達一切的“去干什么”，比如go swimming, go for a swim, go on strike。）
15. 現在很難找到工作。
Is it difficult to get a job at the moment?（又是get，雖然這里用find也可以。）
16. 我下周參加駕照考試。
I'm doing my driving test next week.（又是do，雖然這里用taking也可以。另外，這是一個用I am doing something來表達“我已安排好明天做某事”的例子）
17. 我腿疼。
I’ve got a pain in my leg.（我沒想到可以用如此貼切的英文表達這個中文意思。類似的例子還有我咽喉痛。I've got a sore throat. I have a sore throat 我有點咳嗽。I've got a cough. I have a cough.）
18. 你覺得大多數人工作開心嗎？
Do you think most people are happy in their jobs?（我可能會說Do you think most people are happy with their jobs? 但這里用in很好，英文中經常用in這個介詞，17中也有。一些小詞反而是學習的難點。）
19. 巴拿馬運河連接大西洋和太平洋。
The Panama River joins Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean.（這里用join很好，雖然我第一反應是connect。）
20. 一些公司給員工工資很低。
Some companies pay their workers very badly.（我的第一反應是：Some companies give low wages to their employees。如果你在谷歌上搜索”Some companies give low wages”，結果會是：No results found。母語人士不這么說吧。）
看完這20個例子，你會不會覺得其實英文也并不是那么難？不少學過很多年英語的人總是覺得害怕跟外國人交流，覺得詞匯量不夠，其實原因可能并不在于詞匯量，而是在于臉皮太薄，聽力不夠好（如果聽不懂，會說也沒用），囿于中文思維無法用簡單的詞匯表達稍微復雜一點的意思。
這三個問題，其實并不一定要花費很大的力氣就能解決吧，但可能要找到合適的學習資料以及堅持練習。日后我會慢慢研究如果提高聽力和開口說英語。
