Actually, I? have less feelings on public holidays since for me, they are all the same-it's all about food.
In China, the most famous and the traditional food that we have on our table are dumplings /JiaoZi and please don't ask me why because even for myself, it's not quite clear to me why. As far as I can remember, we have been having these for a long time.
Today, in Japan, the warmth of the holiday is here and I realized " Oh, today is not a common day since all of the people are hurrying up to go home to celebrate the New Year with their families."
For me, it's just a normal day, just went on with my day by handling my job and serving my customers. When one of my colleague brought food to one of our customers, she requested for me, I obliged and asked her why. At that moment, as I was walking towards her, I was really trying to recall if I did something wrong because if your work in the service industry and a customer calls for you, there's a big chance that you did something wrong. When I went to meet her, the customer just wanted to order one more burger or something like that then she started asking me which one do I recommend. Finally, after suggestions and analyzing, I pointed out the best on the menu and I also gave the reasons why it's our best. The customer just said, "Oh, okay, please order this for me, I'll pay for it and you can take it with you after work." You know that, at that moment, I was really surprised and speechless that I cried because that's really nice of her. I felt a mallet knocked and touched my heart and said "fighting Jenna". There's always someone who will be with you, you will never be alone to fight with the world, with life. I was deeply touched by her kind gesture so I said "I'm so happy to hear that and I just want to thank you and I'll be more than glad to accept your kind heart other than the food, best wishes to your family. Happy New Year".
After the customer left, my colleague just asked me " Is that your friend or an acquaintance?. "No, not a friend, not even an acquaintance, this is our first meeting". They couldn't believe it. Why?
Haha. I was deeply touched twice in a day. When I went back home at 9PM. I was surprised by my husband. He prepared dumplings for me on this special day. I never thought he would do that instead of just instant noodles.
This is the true meaning of life, I think. We never expect but all good things may come to you because of your efforts in the past. So my dear, please try your best to do good things because you don't know what the future holds for you.? ?
