Google 收購了自然語言理解創(chuàng)業(yè)公司 API.ai

Google 在美國當(dāng)?shù)貢r間 Sep 19th 宣布收購了 API.ai，一家提供語音識別和自然語言處理的創(chuàng)業(yè)公司，但是沒有披露具體的收購細(xì)節(jié)。除了開發(fā)者工具，API.ai 還擁有一款有 2000 萬用戶的對話交互助手應(yīng)用。
Google 工程副總裁 Scott Huffman 在博客中提到：
"API.AI has a proven track record for helping developers design, build and continuously improve their conversational interfaces, Over 60,000 developers are using Api.ai to build conversational experiences, for environments such as Slack, Facebook Messenger and Kik, to name just a few. Api.ai offers one of the leading conversational user interface platforms and they’ll help Google empower developers to continue building great natural language interfaces.”

Salesforce 在 Sep 18th 推出了自家的 AI 平臺愛因斯坦（Einstein），并宣布該平臺已經(jīng)和 Salesforce 已有的 Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Analytics Cloud, App Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Community Cloud, and IoT Cloud 等業(yè)務(wù)集成。
同時，Salesforce 宣布成立 Salesforce Research，致力于深度學(xué)習(xí)、自然語言處理以及計(jì)算機(jī)視覺技術(shù)的研究，并為自己的業(yè)務(wù)服務(wù)。該部門將由 Salesforce 首席科學(xué)家 Richard Socher 直接領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，Socher 是創(chuàng)業(yè)公司 MetaMind 的聯(lián)合創(chuàng)始人，后來被 Salesforce 收購，在一次媒體參訪中，Socher 提到新部門已經(jīng)擁有 175 名數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)家。

Oracle 將在本次財(cái)年（2017 年 5 月前）開始推廣自己重新設(shè)計(jì)的云計(jì)算平臺。
埃里森 提到：Oracle 已經(jīng)披露了可以讓第三方開發(fā)者在 Oracle 數(shù)據(jù)中心運(yùn)行自己應(yīng)用的第二代云計(jì)算平臺，這次，在 Sep 18th 在三藩市舉行的 Oracle’s OpenWorld conference 上正式對外宣布。
在 Oracle 的第二代云計(jì)算平臺上，一臺典型的虛擬機(jī)提供了 28.8TB, 512GB, and 36 cores, at a price of $5.40 per hour，相比 AWS，IO 效率 10 倍于后者。
