《當你老了》這首歌舒緩輕柔，聽得人很舒服。據說趙照是因為家里發生一些變故，想起他母親，所以創作出這首歌曲。聽了幾遍，覺得這歌詞很熟悉，才想起我上高中時英語老師發的學習資料里有一首詩When you are old，是葉芝寫給他愛慕的茅德崗的，但是葉芝還是沒有抱得美人歸，挺可惜的。葉芝的這首詩很多人翻譯過，這里只附上英文：
