??????? 我曾經把席慕蓉在詩集《七里香》中的一首詩“一棵開花的樹”翻譯成英文。由于是翻譯別人的文章，總覺得不是很出彩。于是，針對這首詩，我自己寫了一首英文小品文來應對。題目是“另一棵樹”

Tired of walking around

he felt......

he would then be longing for the dying tree,

who has shed all its flower and leaves after all its glory.

Knowing that the tree has been standing there through harsh unfriendly seasons, yet still green and blooming with flowers just for a few moment for him to enjoy......

he will then settle down under the tree...... under its losing and falling leaves and fading flowers. He will care for the tree with all his love and might, so that the tree will grow again......with all its beauty and splendour......forever till its old age. And he will always sing praise the Buddha each and every day, singing how grateful he has been blessed...... For such a tree is a rare in this world, for a tree who has been there...... waiting patiently and calmly to cheer all his life with its luscious green leaves...... and beautiful fragrant flowers. In his prayer he begs the Buddha...... to change him into anything...... anything at all...... that would make him stay forever with the tree. By the passionate Buddha's mercy, he is then changed into the sun and the rain, who will shine, warmly and gently...... and noursih it with its fresh shower of love......
