“Negro still is not free.這里為什么still在is 前面,不說is still not free?”
the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination.
the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land.
馬丁路德金用了大量的比喻給出了畫面感如: a lonely island of poverty, a vast ocean of material prosperity。
languish(與suffer近意)這個詞與昨天的sear一樣是比較偏文學化的詞。
