Today is Tuesday.

I am going to read a new book, The Dot.

It was the ending of a drawing class. Vashti stared at her painting paper. It was empty. She didn't know how to draw. Her teacher walked toward her, looked at the blank paper and said,"Wow, that's interesting. A polar bear in the snow." Vashti said," I don't know how to draw a picture." The teacher said, "Just make a mark and see where it takes you." Vashti grabbed a felt-tipped pen and gave the paper a good, strong jab. “There!” There was only a dot on the paper. Her teacher studied it carefully and pushed the paper to Vashti,"Sign it." Vashti signed carefully. The next week, when Vashti went to the drawing class, she found her picture was hanged on the wall. She looked at it and thought she could draw a better dot. So she started to draw dots on the paper. She drew and drew until one day the teacher shew her paintings to the people, They all praised her paintings. And a little boy said to her, "You are a great painter. I could even hardly draw a straight line." Vashti gave him a paper and said,"Draw it." The boy gave his paper on which there was a squiggle to her. She stared it careful and push the paper to him,"Sign it!"
