地道表達

1.Nationalist hardliners accuse America of exaggerating the North Korean threat to pursue its real goal, namely corralling China.

Nationalist hardliners:民族主義強硬派:hardliner 這個詞我也是第一次見,hard(強硬)+line(路線)+r(...er做xxx的人)走強硬路線的人,強硬派,這樣作猜想和記憶

namely的用法值得關注,不是字面上的,名義上,而應當譯作即,也就是,換句話說 ~ corralling便可譯作 也就是控制住

可謂是黃金表達,b&a,意為大體來說,在一些地道的外刊中經常出現該用法.

例句里的這個表達也非常出彩,值得記錄. daunt本做動詞,表示威嚇

des(diss你們都愛用的,表否定的這個詞)+pondent(回應,回復)沒回應當然令人失望沮喪.
