Nokia is filing patent infringement suits in three German cities; Munich, Dusseldorf and Manheim. In the U.S., a suit is on the books in the eastern district of Texas.

Within the last three years, Nokia has expanped its patent protfolio with corporate acquisitions. Nokia says not since 2011 has Apple agreed to recoginze any of Nokia's registered innovations.

The suit rederences 32 patents that cover techonologies ranging from display, to video quality to user interface.

Nokia says more lawsuits in other juridiction may be forthcoming. Apple has yet to formally respond to the lawsuit.
