Why do people think the writer is mad?

Aeroplanes are slowly driving me mad. I live near an airport and passing planes can be heard night and day. Ther airport was built years ago, but for some reason it could not be used then. Last year, however, it came into use. Over a hundred people must have been driven away from their homes by the noise. I am one of the few people left. Sometimes I think this house will be knocked down by a passing plane. I have been offered a large sum of money to go away, but I am determined to stay here. Everybody says I must be mad and they are probably right.

知識筆記：

1、/e?/是元音音標(biāo)，屬于集中雙元音。學(xué)習(xí)這個音之前先學(xué)習(xí)/e/和/?/的發(fā)音。發(fā)音時先發(fā)/e/然后滑向/?/音，口型由大變小。

2、如何正確的發(fā)出/e?/這個音。

1）學(xué)習(xí)該音的發(fā)音方法請先學(xué)習(xí)/e/和/?/這兩個單元音。

2）首先先發(fā)前元音/e/，同時舌尖輕觸下齒。

3）然后很快滑向/?/音，發(fā)音過程中雙唇半開。

4）注意：/e?/是個"集中雙元音"，發(fā)音/e/時嘴角向兩邊拉，滑向/?/音收小，口型由大變小。
