無心劍按:翻譯《飛鳥集》,灌注了我的熱情。一向喜歡泰戈爾的作品,而翻譯需要字斟句酌,因此,想借此機會,更深地體味他文字的風韻。在我眼里,翻譯是與文字的一種親密接觸,心靈也為此輕輕感動。我清楚,自己的譯文,也難免錯漏,敬請讀者批評指正。
《飛鳥集》是印度詩人泰戈爾創作的詩集,它包括325首清麗的無標題小詩,首次出版于1916年。這些詩的基本題材多為極其常見事物,不外乎小草、落葉、飛鳥、星辰、河流等等。
由于詩人忠實于自己的思想,具有敏銳洞察自然、社會的能力和一支善于表達心曲的妙筆,這些形似只言片語的小詩就蘊涵了豐富的思想、深奧的哲理,表現出一種清新明快、優美雋永的風格。 《飛鳥集》在世界各地被譯為多種文字版本 ,對于中國的“小詩運動”的產生與發展具有推動作用。
《飛鳥集》中表現了深層的精神追求——愛與和諧的宇宙終極原則或神,描繪自然萬物的靈(神)性相通,有機一體,展現人與自然、愛與神的親密無間、交互融溶,歌贊生命的自由、平等、博愛-從而生成了豐富雋永的人生哲理。在這里神、自然、人與愛的界限己經模糊不清了,詩人追求人與神的合一、愛與神的關系、以及神與自然的統一,渴望與神“完全合一的形象顯現”,也就是要達到有限生命與無限生命的統一,就是要達到人的最高的理想境界。為此,詩中揭示,人必須完善自己的人格,要在“思想中摒除虛偽”,要驅走心中“一切的丑惡”,并且只能在“愛”中,在“愛的服務”中與神結合。詩人在詩篇中表達了人生的奉獻與人生意義的追求,使詩篇充滿著生機。
