   “發病率”對應的英文是 “incidence rate”，表示在一定期間內，一定人群中某病新病例出現的頻率。發病率 = 一定期間內某人群中某病新病例數/同時期暴露人口數。“發病率”的分母是有發病危險的人口數 (population at risk)。(The incidence of disease is the number of new cases occurring in a population over a defined time interval.)

2. 患病率：

   患病率”對應的英文是“prevalence rate”，也稱“現患率”，指特定時間內總人口中某病新舊病例所占比例。患病率 = 某觀察期間一定人群中現患某病的新舊病例數/同期的平均人口數（被觀察人數）。(Prevalence is a measure of the number of total cases of a disease in a population at a certain moment in time.)

3. 兩者間區別：

   分子：

   • 發病率是一定時間內新發病例的數量
   • 患病率是一定時間內所有病例數量（包括新發病例和原有病例）

   分母：

   • 發病率是觀察期內具有發病風險的人的數量
   • 患病率是觀察期內所有觀察人口數量（平均人口數）。
