今年6月初，美國(guó)最高法院首席大法官約翰·羅伯茨（John Roberts）來(lái)到新罕布什爾州的卡迪根山中學(xué)（Cardigan Mountain School），參加兒子的初中畢業(yè)典禮，并發(fā)表演講。

這篇演講當(dāng)時(shí)并沒(méi)有引起轟動(dòng)，但近日《華盛頓郵報(bào)》（Washington Post）把其中的金句挖掘了出來(lái)，竟引發(fā)美國(guó)媒體和社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)的瘋狂轉(zhuǎn)發(fā)。

From time to time in the years to come, I hope you will be treated unfairly, so that you will come to know the value of justice.

約翰·羅伯茨還評(píng)論了一下演講嘉賓們愛(ài)對(duì)畢業(yè)生說(shuō)的一句話："做自己""Being yourself"-----Unless you are perfect, it does not mean don’t make any changes.除非你完美無(wú)瑕，那么這句話絕不意味著不去改變自己。

他鼓勵(lì)畢業(yè)生們思考自己想成為什么樣的人，這樣才能真正地“做自己”。

他引用蘇格拉底的話說(shuō)：
“The unexamined life is not worth living.”
未經(jīng)自省的人生沒(méi)有意義。
