CF: happen, occur, take place
happen和occur指意外發生的，沒有計劃的事情。occur比happen正式。
e.g. The accident happened/occurred at about 9:30.
happen還可以表示某事是另一事的直接后果。

take place表明事情的發生是有計劃的。
