A Brief History Of Time written by Stephen William Hawking is no doubt among the must-read bibliographies of the contemporary world. But unfortunately, the first time when I read the book, I was only 13 years old and was not equipped with enough knowledge to fully understand the theories introduced by Stephen. I was scared by the words such as Principle of relativity and Quantum mechanics, so after reading a few pages of the book, I put it back to my bookshelf, and had never read that book again. Now I’m already a 18-year-old freshman who have already had a big picture of the whole universe and its principles, I turn to that book again to have a try. To be frank, this time, I still can’t understand the majority of it. I totally can’t understand some basic conceptions introduced, but this time, I have a peek into this magical universe.

Throughout the human history, we human-being have taken great efforts to figure out this question: what is universe? According to the Wikipedia: The Universe is all of space and time and its contents, which includes planets, moons, minor planets, stars, galaxies, the contents of intergalactic space and all matter and energy. Briefly, universe is the system of all space, time and materials. In the book, Stephen roughly introduced our universe and the evolution of various types of celestial bodies, some are small like out solar system while some are large boundless interstellar space, as well as the unknown universe exploration.

From the book, I come to realize that Stephen is a man who is curious about everything. He is determined to hunt down to the essence of the problem. It is scientists’ continuous pursuit that contribute to the development of human civilization, especially the exploration of the outer space, which will never come to an end.This is the tireless spirits that moved me most.

霍金筆下的《宇宙簡史》用迷人的表達方式討論了宇宙的歷史和將來、時間和時空的本性、黑洞等令人敬畏的主題，霍金用敏銳的直覺和堅定的推理直接挑戰了已被廣泛認同的傳統量子學、大爆炸理論、甚至愛因斯坦的相對論，在探尋時間和空間核心可望而不可及的秘密這一未竟之業中，它將引導世界各地喜歡仰望星空的人探尋宇宙的秘密。我喜歡這本書，因為我從中學會了一種對待人生的態度。“我們之所以看到宇宙是這個樣子，只是因為如果他不是這個樣子，我們就不會在這里去觀察它。”從書中，我感悟到的是那顆對科學執著嚴謹的心，那顆對一切充滿好奇的心，那顆刨根問底的心。科學家們的不懈追求，為的是人類科學文明的進步，特別是對于外太空的探索，從不曾止步。所以讀罷此書，我更感受到的即是這種孜孜不倦的精神。

我們每天都會抬頭看藍天，寂靜的夜晚，天空仿佛一面漆黑的畫壁，上面畫著一顆顆璀璨的星星，每當欣賞到這樣的美景，我們難道不會產生疑問嗎？我們所生活的家園——地球，僅僅只是無垠宇宙中一個小小的部分，面對宇宙，我們只是一粒粒小小塵埃，不值一提。

讀完《宇宙簡史》，我被深奧的宇宙知識所吸引，為浩瀚無邊的宇宙也感嘆！宇宙所帶給人們無限的誘惑力，它等著我們去探索，去挖掘更多更多宇宙的謎底！霍金輪椅上的著作《宇宙簡史》所不能解釋的宇宙的謎語就等著我們以后一代又一代的人去揭開！簡練的語言，播撒著浩渺的知識；睿智的語言，體現著博大的智慧。這次的閱讀，讓我長了知識，增了視野，也讓我學會了嚴謹的態度。這些對于我來說都是無價的至寶，因為他們將成為我得墊腳石，對我以后的發展打下穩固的基矗這一點一點的積累，如繁星般，無邊無際地閃耀在知識的夜空中，廣袤無垠的漫步在宇宙的思想中。
