Children , and staff, must work in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning.

例:Such a noisy environment was not conducive to a good night's sleep.

仿:A good school has conducive atmosphere? for studying.

2.vanish without trace

消失得無影無

The thief ran quickly and vanished without trace.

3.crutch

I told them not to use the special vocabulary of education as a crutch, almost any subject can be made accessible in good English.

例:As an atheist, he believes that religion is just an emotional crutch for the insecure.作為一個無神論者,他認為宗教不過是缺乏信心的人的精神支柱。

仿:There are a group of young adult? don't go to work and their parents are the clutch for their life.

4.accessible

easy to obtain or use

搭配accessible to? ? ? easily/readily accessible

例:Computers should be made readily accessible to teachers and pupils.

仿:The new technology should be easily accessible to the public.

4.glimmer

Finally, at the end, we get a glimmer of humanity.

SIGN 跡象a slight sign of something good or positive 微弱的(好)跡象;一絲,一線

例:?This month's sales figures offer a glimmer of hope for the depressed economy.

仿:She's never shown a glimmer of interest in jogging.

5.pomposity

Information can be imparted clearly and without pomposity

Pomposity means speaking or behaving in a very serious manner which shows that you think you are more important than you really are.名詞自負;自命不凡

例:He hated pomposity and disliked being called a genius.

仿:Being pomposity is hard to make any progress.

今天書中這個例子很好的解釋了什么叫說人話,改之前的句子就算每個詞都認識可是就算重復讀幾遍仍然不知所云。

要做到說人話,就是按你平常說話的思考方式去寫東西就好。多用主動詞,第一人稱,少用專用名詞和晦澀的長名詞。
