英語作文:飲食的安全與健康,靠政府還是靠自己?

題目:Some people think that governments should do more to make their citizens eat a healthy diet. Others believe that individuals must take responsibility for their own diet and health. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

有些人認為,政府應該多做事情,讓公民吃上健康的事物。另一些人則說責任還是在個人,自己要負起責任來調節食譜,保持健康。你討論這兩個方面的內容,并給出你自己的觀點。

Some people think that governments should do more to make their citizens eat a healthy diet. Concerning about food safety, they feel that if governments don’t take actions, the illegal medicine such as Melamine, Clenbuterol and Sudan will not be forbidden. The laws, proceedings of cases, propaganda on a healthy diet from governments are all useful. Others have a point of view that eating is one’s own choice. If they want to be healthy, they will pay attention to learn more knowledge, and take actions on their conditions.

First, let’s look at what measures the government is doing. There are 26 national laws about food in China by 2015. For example, recently a butcher in Tianjin was punished by court since in 2015 and 2016 he couldn’t offer the certificate materials on the lamb he sold after being warned for many times. He will be in prison for one year, pay a forfeit of 10,000 RMB and cannot sell meat for 3 years. So businessmen can be awed by law.

Countries also focus on education the public. TV shows, newspapers, websites and other propaganda can offer us latest knowledge of heathy food. In Rizhao, Shandong Province, the Food and Drug Administration corporate with schools and bring about a lot of interesting activities. The staffs give booklets containing related food health information to students, and arrange lectures conducting by professionals. The students can make posters to how the knowledge they learn and teach their family members as well. In the end, there is a competition and some gifts are prepared for students. These activities are highly relying on governments because they have strong force, enough money and talented people.

Second, it is also very correct that individuals must take responsibility for their own diet and health. Since governments’ force is about making food healthy and punishing the illegal actions, it is not much to do with our own health. If offered healthy foods, how can we eat them healthily?

To begin with, we should find reliable information source. The articles, books, websites and so on that we read, should have no flaws on logic. This is a need of one’s thinking and understanding ability. It must be trained in everyday life. So stop reading the fast spreading articles in wechat. It is because that fear and rumors is most spreading not the real knowledge. We should read papers, official news or other checked information sources.

Next, we must have patience. For instance, fitness is very popular now, but many people who just begin to go to gyms want to see effects quickly. However, fitness takes lots of time and the cost is expensive. Many give up in less than three months since they don’t realize this. Then they are frustrated and go to eat weight loss drugs which make their body conditions even worse. So the individual’s thought is the key point of keeping health.

All in all, the governments and individuals are all contributing to eating a healthy diet, and their efforts are just in different aspects.

說到飲食的安全和健康,有些人會很依賴國家,覺得像三聚氰胺、瘦肉精、蘇丹紅等等違規藥品在食品中的使用,政府不管就沒人管,會覺得全國級別的頒布法律、對案子嚴格審訊,還有廣泛宣傳飲食的知識非常有用。另一些人覺得吃飯就是個人的事情,自己想獲得健康,就的多學習相關知識,根據自己的情況去制定計劃。

先來看看國家做了哪些應對措施。截止到2015年,中國關于食品方面有26部國家級的法律和法規。舉個例子,最近有一位天津的屠夫,因為2015年和2016年他所賣的羊肉都沒有證明材料,并且經多次警告未改。他被判入獄一年,罰金一萬元人民幣,并且三年不得售賣肉制品。所以法律對于商人是有震懾力的。

國家也會花大力氣在教育公眾上。像電視,報紙,網站及其他的宣傳方式,都在告訴我們最新的關于食品健康的知識。比如在山東日照,食藥監局就和學校合作,給學生分發手冊,請專業人員講課,學生們可以做海報,并且把知識帶給家人,最后組織知識競賽。此類宣傳活動非常依賴政府,因為只有政府有強力,有經費,有專業人才。

第二,每個人要負起自己的責任,找到適合自己飲食健康的方式,也是非常正確的。因為政府的力量是確保食品的健康和懲罰違法的行為,這和我們自己健不健康沒有直接聯系。如果食品是健康的,我們的身體就健康的嗎?

先要有的就是可靠的信息來源。像文章,書籍,網站,我們閱讀的時候,應該找它邏輯上沒有漏洞的內容來讀,這就需要一個人的思考和理解水平了。這需要在日常生活中訓練出來。所以,微信里的爆款文就別看了。因為恐懼和謠言遠比真正的知識傳播得快。我們應該多讀論文,官方的新聞或者其他經過檢驗的信息來源。

其次要有耐心。舉例來說,健身是當下很流行的活動,但是很多人剛開始去健身房,就希望能看到效果。但是,健身需要占用大量時間,并且成本是很高的。許多人在三個月之內放棄就是因為沒有意識到這點。然后他們就變得沮喪,去吃減肥藥,但是讓身體變得更差。所以,個人的觀念是保持健康的核心。

總而言之,政府和個人對于吃得健康都有作用,只不過他們的努力在不同的方向上。
