How to Be Unique and Effective

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10 NIV).

If you want to know God’s will for your life, you’ve got to look at what you’re good at. Why would God give you certain gifts, abilities, and talents and not expect you to use them? That would be a waste.
如果你想要知道上帝在你生命中的旨意，你需要看你的特長。為什么你不使用上帝很清晰的給你這些天賦、能力以及天分，那真浪費。
God gives you Spiritual gifts, Heart/passions, Abilities, a Personality, and Experiences (SHAPE) that make you unique, and when you take time to figure out how God has shaped you, it gives you direction for where you should go with your life. Ask yourself, “What am I good at? What do I love to do? What is my passion? What do I find exciting, and what do I find boring? What do people affirm in me? How can God use those abilities for his Kingdom?”
上帝給你屬靈的天賦、感情/激情、能力、人格和經(jīng)驗(外在的)，使你獨一無二，當你花時間搞清楚上帝是如何塑造你，這回給你指明你人生的方向。問一下你自己，“我擅長什么？我喜歡做什么？哪些事情使我有激情？我可以從什么事情上找到樂趣？我對哪些事情感到無聊？人們怎么定義我？上帝如何為他的國使用這些能力？”
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (NIV). The word for “God’s handiwork” in Greek is the word “poema,” from which we get the word “poem.” You are God’s poem. You are a work of art. You are unique. There is nobody like you!
以弗所書 2:10 說：“我們是他所造之物，在基督耶穌里創(chuàng)造的，為要使我們行善，就是 神早已預(yù)備好要我們做的。”（和修） 這個詞“上帝的工作”在希臘文中是“poema”，“詩”這個詞是從poema演變而來。你是上帝的詩。你是一件杰作。你是獨一無二的，沒有任何人和你一樣！
But there’s more to life than being unique. God wants you to be unique and effective. He designed you the way he did so you could do good works. Even before you were born, God predesigned a role for you in life. He said, “I’m going to make this person with certain gifts, abilities, and talents, and I’m going to allow this person to go through certain experiences — some good, some painful, and some educational. I’m going to bring all of these things together because I want something done in the world that will take that kind of person to do it.”
但是比起獨一無二來說，生命還有更多的意義。上帝希望你獨一無二并且有影響力。他規(guī)劃你的人生，可以使你努力工作。甚至在你出生之前，他已經(jīng)預(yù)先為你準備了你人生的角色。他說：“我要給這個人清晰的天賦、能力和天分，我允許他有清晰的經(jīng)歷————一些是不錯的、一些是傷痛的，也有一些是有教育意義的。我要把這些事情都帶到他面前，因為我想要通過一些人做的事，來成全我的旨意。”
We are saved to serve. That’s what it means to have a ministry — you use your talents and gifts to help other people. Fulfillment means being who and what God meant you to be.

The Bible says, “God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other” (1 Peter 4:10a TLB).
