大城市的公交車，擁擠又擁堵，這個時候不找點合適的項目，時間還真難打發。
我曾經在公交車上聽BBC新聞，堅持了半個月，聽力有明顯進步。不過，這個行為很難持續下去，因為它對我來說有一定難度，要在公交車上保持注意力的高度集中很費力。BBC新聞是鍛煉聽力的好材料，卻不是在公交車上打發時間的好幫手。
后來我就開始聽英語童話故事了。我在喜馬拉雅FM上找到了外研社的《螢火蟲世界經典童話故事》有聲書，中英雙語，我幾乎聽完了所有的英文故事。這個材料的好處在于，它非常淺顯易懂，即使你因分神而漏過了一段故事，回過神來還能繼續聽下去。
每個故事我都會聽3-5遍，直到我能用中文將故事的細節講述出來。我一直都不是一個講故事的能手，通常四五句就將一個故事的來龍去脈給了結了。但過年回家的時候，我能將《小紅帽》講上5分鐘左右，大大地贏得了小朋友的歡心。
外研社在2015年11月就停止更新了，我也沒有再繼續聽。這本有聲書有25個故事，我選擇了其中3個給大家展示一下。我都給出了鏈接，不過手機要收聽喜馬拉雅似乎必須下載APP。大家可以在APP中搜索《螢火蟲世界經典童話故事》，下載好，在公交和地鐵上可以離線聽。
1. 小紅帽 Little Red Riding Hood

故事梗概：小紅帽在去看望奶奶的路上無意向大灰狼透露了奶奶的住處，大灰狼先一步趕到奶奶家，吞下奶奶，然后又喬裝成奶奶吞下了小紅帽。獵人聽到小屋里發出的狼的鼾聲，拿剪刀剖開狼的肚皮，救下了小紅帽和奶奶。

故事梗概：漁夫有一天捕撈到了一只會說話的金魚，金魚承諾，如果將它放生，它將滿足漁夫的所有愿望。漁夫的妻子很貪婪，先要了一只木盆，后來又要了一棟小木屋，一個大房子，還當上了女王。但她并未滿足，還想成為海皇，并讓金魚來伺候她。結果，金魚收回了所有的一切，漁夫和妻子重歸貧窮的生活。

這些材料，不難，又稍有趣味，不用刻意保持注意力也可以輕松跟上故事的進度，很適合在公交車上聽。不過，它并不是專門拿出時間學習英語的好材料，因為太簡單。
