（筆者按：退休后發(fā)現(xiàn)了慕課（英文Massive Open Online Courses的首字母縮略詞的音譯，也就是“大規(guī)模在線開放課程”），一時(shí)激動(dòng)，學(xué)了好幾門課程，并且有些想法，記錄下來，還有幸發(fā)表在《慕課視角下高職英語教育教學(xué)探究設(shè)計(jì)》一書中。下面的

英文為我學(xué)的第一門課程的作文，與中文有聯(lián)系，但不是中文的翻譯。封面是我的第一個(gè)慕課證書。今天發(fā)到公眾號(hào)，是為了鼓勵(lì)自己，繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)。）

慕課學(xué)習(xí)后的斷想

一、慕課不同于一般的公開課。一般的公開課大多是將實(shí)體課堂上課拍成視頻，觀看者當(dāng)然也能學(xué)到一些知識(shí)，也會(huì)受到啟發(fā)，也會(huì)有所收獲，但是參與感很差。而慕課不同，第一，慕課拍視頻時(shí)就是針對(duì)千千萬萬在線學(xué)習(xí)者的，視頻里已經(jīng)結(jié)合了其他表現(xiàn)手段，如：專門為幫助理解講課內(nèi)容拍攝的小品、動(dòng)畫，相關(guān)的圖片、表格等。第二，慕課有閱讀、有練習(xí)、有測(cè)驗(yàn)、有論壇，這些對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)和掌握一門課程是不可或缺的。閱讀和練習(xí)以及練習(xí)的解答幫助理解講課內(nèi)容；測(cè)驗(yàn)可以考核學(xué)習(xí)的情況；論壇則可以用來相互交流和答疑。第三，慕課有證書。雖然現(xiàn)在慕課的證書既不能幫你找工作，也不能為你加薪，但是證書本身就是獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)。就好像玩游戲，分?jǐn)?shù)不是錢，但分?jǐn)?shù)就已經(jīng)是獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)，有的為了奪高分，會(huì)廢寢忘食。央視的《新聞?wù){(diào)查》欄目曾經(jīng)報(bào)道有的學(xué)霸已經(jīng)拿了60多個(gè)慕課證書。第四，大部分慕課都有截止時(shí)間要求，必須在某月某日之前完成所有練習(xí)和測(cè)驗(yàn)，才可能拿到證書，這對(duì)于那些有拖延癥的，是個(gè)很好的鞭策。因此，參加慕課是一種在新的技術(shù)條件下結(jié)合傳統(tǒng)方法的學(xué)習(xí)方式。

二、慕課，尤其是國(guó)外的慕課，是對(duì)沒有出國(guó)留過學(xué)的人的一種補(bǔ)償。有了慕課，我們不出國(guó)門，甚至是足不出戶，就可以學(xué)習(xí)世界名校的教授所講的課程。我們可以聽老師用英語講數(shù)學(xué)、物理、化學(xué)，也可以聽老師用英語講計(jì)算機(jī)、講金融、講商業(yè)管理，我們還可以聽老師用英語講中國(guó)歷史，用英語講英語課。在課堂上，你如果走神了，或者是沒聽懂，很少有學(xué)生下課后有膽量請(qǐng)老師再講講。而在慕課，你可以反復(fù)看視頻，實(shí)在是聽不懂，還可以打開英文字幕，還是不明白，還可以打開中文字幕。人家留學(xué)三年，你聽慕課三年，不敢說你的英語一定比人家好，但絕不會(huì)差到哪去。更不要說國(guó)外的教學(xué)方法、思維方式和看問題的角度也會(huì)使你眼界大開、受益匪淺。

三、慕課很有可能引發(fā)教育大變革。技術(shù)進(jìn)步會(huì)給社會(huì)發(fā)展帶來翻天覆地的變化，應(yīng)該是無可爭(zhēng)辯的事實(shí)，蒸汽機(jī)、電力和互聯(lián)網(wǎng)就是典型的例子。攝像機(jī)的普及、寬帶的發(fā)展以及各種終端的普及（電腦、手機(jī)、平板、網(wǎng)絡(luò)電視等）是許多視頻網(wǎng)站興起的基礎(chǔ)，應(yīng)該也是慕課能夠發(fā)展的基礎(chǔ)。我們國(guó)家有兩千多所高等院校，不可能也沒必要所有院校都去編寫教材。有了慕課，完全有可能連講課的老師都省了。試想想，假如有全國(guó)最牛的10個(gè)數(shù)學(xué)系制作高等數(shù)學(xué)的慕課放在平臺(tái)上，干嘛每個(gè)學(xué)校還要請(qǐng)老師來講高等數(shù)學(xué)？學(xué)生們上數(shù)學(xué)課在宿舍都行，考試的時(shí)候來教室就行了，節(jié)省多少資源？放在平臺(tái)上的課程會(huì)被大家點(diǎn)贊、評(píng)分，最終流行的每門課程可能只有3到5家。曾經(jīng)有人擔(dān)心由于獲得教育資源的不平等，會(huì)導(dǎo)致窮人與富人之間的鴻溝越來越深。富人的孩子從小就進(jìn)最好的幼兒園，然后是最好的小學(xué)、中學(xué)，再出國(guó)深造，出來后當(dāng)然能找到高薪工作，一代又一代，良性循環(huán)，而窮人則正好反過來。有了慕課，將來發(fā)展到有從小學(xué)到高中各年級(jí)的各門課程，即使是偏僻的山村的學(xué)生，借助寬帶和網(wǎng)絡(luò)電視，就可以聽到中國(guó)最好的老師給他們講課。那種極度缺乏老師的學(xué)校——只有一個(gè)老師，又要教數(shù)學(xué)，又要教英語，而且各個(gè)年級(jí)都得教，會(huì)因?yàn)橛辛四秸n，得到根本性的改善。正如慕課的平臺(tái)之一coursera所言：

I found MOOC by a chance, and as a man enjoys learning, I could not help registering on the website, Coursera. I took two courses,Think Again: How to Reason and Argue, and Crafting an Effective Writer, both interesting me and being good timing. Since then, learning through MOOC has become my favorite activity. Why? First, there are a lot of courses on MOOC, so you can choose courses that you are interested in. Moreover, they are all free. Second, I think MOOC is a compensation for my regret that I have never studied abroad, for now I can listen to the foreign professors talking in English through MOOC. I have gotten at least two benefits from learning through MOOC. One is that I have improved my English listening comprehension by listening carefully to the lecture repeatedly with the subtitle off, and the other is that I understood some ideas because the instructor explained them from different perspectives. For example, I learnt that there are only seven coordinating conjunctions; furthermore, I memorized them through the interesting acronym FANBOYS. Likewise, I know what an Absolute phrase is and how to use it now. Third, MOOC is different from the other open courses, for it has schedules, discussion forums, exercises and quizzes, whereas you are just like a bystander when you are watching the other open courses. The course schedules are big help for those who lack self-discipline or who are procrastinating. You can post your questions to the discussion forums, and you may well be surprised by the answers coming so soon. Needless to say, you can make acquaintance with those who have a common interest. Doing exercises and quizzes help you to understand the lessons. You could not help slapping your knee and shouting I am great when you gain a full mark. Last but not least, on internet there is an article titled Learning: A?Lifelong?Career. The article begins with ‘As food is to the body, so is learning to the mind’. It makes the importance of learning clear, but I would like to further emphasize that the food needed by body is limited, whereas the learning needed by mind could be unlimited.I am not sure if learning would help me either make more money or get a better post, but I am sure I will keep on learning, because learning itself is enjoyable and rewarding to me. It is MOOC that makes my learning more enjoyable, more varied and more effective. Thanks a million, MOOC.
