入林不厭深，

避世不厭獨。

倦飛鳥知還，

毋憚下喬木。

The deeper in forest, the better I would feel.

The lonelier reclusion is a more worthy deal.

The birds know when to return after a tired flight,

And from the high trees they do not fear to alight.

方岳（1199--1262）字巨山，號秋崖，新安祁門（今屬安徽）人。理宗紹定五年（1232）進士，曾為文學掌教，后任袁州太守，官至吏部侍郎。因忤權要史嵩之、丁大全，賈似道諸人，終生仕途失意。工于詩，多描寫農村生活與田園風光，質樸自然。其詞多抒發愛國憂時之情，風格清健。著有《秋崖集》四十卷，詞集有《秋崖詞》。
