背景介紹：

1.球場(chǎng)以創(chuàng)始人Geoffroy-Guichard的名字命名。（兒子Pierre的主意）

2.由于建立在煤礦隧道的舊址，并且旁邊有一個(gè)鋼鐵廠(chǎng)，所以早期的時(shí)候經(jīng)常會(huì)看到有旁邊的煙霧飄過(guò)球場(chǎng)，因此也被當(dāng)?shù)厝朔Q(chēng)為“大鍋”。

3.起初也是一座田徑運(yùn)動(dòng)場(chǎng)，1956年將跑道移除后成為了專(zhuān)業(yè)足球場(chǎng)，在法國(guó)以英式設(shè)計(jì)的四個(gè)獨(dú)立看臺(tái)聞名。這里曾上演過(guò)1984年歐洲杯，1998年世界杯和2007年橄欖球世界杯的比賽。

Architects Philippe Chaix and Jean-Paul Morel have been partners since 1983. During their joint career, they have revealed a sober elegance to their projects, which blend delicately into their environment while highlighting its contrasts a subtle form of expression designed to adhere closely to the authenticity of the materials and the structural concepts; a continuous study of light, described as a substance that reveals and creates space.
