7.Sentences

Each of these studies teaches us something about ourselves and our own willpower challenges. They help us recognize our natural capacity for self-control, even if we sometimes struggle to use it. They help us understand our failures and point at possible solutions. They even tell us something about what it means to be human.

很清楚的表述了自制力挑戰(zhàn)對(duì)我們的用途,而且排比句很有氣勢(shì)。

Our human nature includes both the self that wants immediate gratification, and the self with a higher purpose. We are born to be tempted, and born to resist.

這句話直接明了也很直接的指向我們自己的內(nèi)心。尤其是我們生來(lái)就被誘惑,但我們也生來(lái)就會(huì)抵抗它。

8.Summary

Through the 20 days of reading, I not only learned a lot of new words, but also learned a lot of grammar knowledge. And I also learned three points from this book.

1.We should have a positive circle of friends. In this journey, I want to give up many times, but the other people's behavior encourage me to go on. Therefore,a positive social circle is important for us.

2.We should learn to control ourselves but not too much. We all have our own ideas, but sometimes they may be wrong. So we should learn to control ourselves and think carefully before we make a decision. But we are not the perfect gods. Over control of ourselves will lead us to self destruction.

3. We should have a clear goal. As long as we understand what we really want, then we will look for the right direction. Only in this way can we be sure that we are on the right track.

I will remember these points and continue to work hard.
